If / When DVC announces the Contemporary

Do you think they will add concierge level rooms like they have at AKV? Or do you think the concierge at AKV is only because of the Sunrise Safari?

I think what prompted them to add the concierge option at AKV is because DVC was taking over the 6th floor and that is where the concierge lounge is located. Moving the lounge to the 4th floor or lower would have meant losing some AKL hotel rooms to create a space for a new lounge. What's interesting is that now DVC actually operates the lounge and rents it out to AKL!

Perhaps if it proves to be popular (and not just because of access to the safaris) they will consider doing this at CRV as well.

me too!!! - well not lots of points - don't have the money for lots of points.

Nobody knows about concierge.... but it seems the concierge level is a real big thing lately... so maybe they will include it... We'll have to wait and see.

if its booking well at AKV then I can see them thinking about it, I would suppose they would get booked no matter what, many will be trying to get in there.

Does Disney announce the point requirements and all their seasons for a new DVC at the same time sales begin or before? For me, this will help determine the amount of points I purchase.

I will not purchase at CRV. The variety of the GCV on the other hand, may be too powerful to ignore..

For AKV, they sent out point charts at the same time they announced when sales would start. As I recall, we had about a month to think it over before sales began. It was looking at the point requirements that helped us decide to buy. Without that I don't think we would have even considered purchasing there.

I expect any CRV would be announced in the same way -- at least, I hope so. DW and I intend to buy, but whether we do or not (and how many points) will be determined by what the point chart looks like.
