If we have Candlelight Processional Dinner Package and Park is filled to capacity...

Can we still get in if that is the only thing we are going for? We are planning to book this package but don't plan to stay at Epcot for the day. We will go to first show and then have dinner at ALfredo's(hopefully). If the first show is at five and we paln to be there by 3:30 and park is full can we get in? We will be there the week between Christmas and New Yearsso the crowds are going to be outrageous. Any input would help!

I don't KNOW for sure, but I don't think so. I think once the park is filled to capacity they will not let you in even if you have tickets to CP. I KNOW this is the case with dining PSs. We were there last NY Eve and we had dining PSs and we had to guarantee with a credit card and the CM told us if we did not show up they would charge the credit card some amount (I have forgotten how much). She made a point to tell me that if the park filled up they wouldn't let us in even if we had a PS.

That same policy may carry over to the CP, I think I would assume so to be on the safe side.

But, how often does EPCOT fill up? It did not fill to capacity on NY Eve and I think that is their biggest day. (Oh, it was plenty full just not so full that they stopped letting people in.)

It's highly unlikely that Epcot will close at capacity. It has the highest capacity of the four parks, and has only closed on extremely rare occasions.

However, to answer your question ... having Candlelight dinner package will not guarantee you entrance into the park if it's been closed. Of course, it also depends on which phase of closing it's at. If you're a Disney resort guest, you have more options. But simply having purchased a Candlelight package doesn't get you into a closed park.
