Hi,
We might plan an either late August/early September DW trip. How we plan on saving:
Buying base tickets thru Orbitz when they have their 10.5% cash back.
We are driving, so going to get the gas gift cards at 20% off with the graduation g/c promotion. GREAT DEAL. And buying those gas gift cards even if we didn't do the road trip.
We also received the $200 Disney G/C for signing up for the premier visa.
We have another Disney CC and will have another $50-75 in reward money to use.
We would stay at a value resort, 20% off room discount. That helps.
DH's birthday is during this possible trip, so EoS gives a free sandwich if you sign up, and we also signed up for Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes, that is close by and you get a free adult entree too on your birthday. These are all if you sign up and put your birthday in.
We get ice waters in the parks as we prefer that over sweet drinks and soda anyway. This is a big tip that many utilize already. And of course bring snacks from home, and eat breakfast in the room.
If I can think of any other ways we are saving, I will let you know.
If you have $ saving ideas you can share as well, please do.
EDITED to ADD: My children like to have the Characters sign autographs, and our Dollar Store has Mickey, Minnie, and other Disney themed Journals for $1 each. We took them on our last trip and the kids loved having Characters sign them. It was so cheap and easy! Also, Walgreens pharmacy runs frequent deals on FREE 8x10 photo collages, and I make 1 each of our Disney trip collages from our favorite moments/pics of the trip. That is always a nice free souvenir!
