If we buy now with a Feb use year.....

and we vacation mostly in Sept....does this cause a problem with banking points in the event we cancel?
would it be better to have a Mar/Apr use year?? The only other time we would visit is May.

If you have a Fev Use Year and travel in September, the only issue would be if you had to cancel a reservation after July 31- which is the last day you can bank more than 50% of your points from the current Use Year.

If you cancel a Sep trip on July 15th, you can bank all of the points to be used in the next Use Year. If you cancel after July 31, you could only bank up to 50% of your total allotment of points from that year and would have to find another use for those points by Jan, 31. If you cancel less than 31 days prior to your trip- you will have to use the points by Jan 31 and cannot bank any of them.

Feb would be fine for a May reservation- but will also work well for Sep trips except as noted above.
