maybe IVAN,,will go out to SEA,,,

I HATE to sound selfish,,,but FL. can not deal with another storm of this power,,,,we will have no resourses,,our insurance will sky rocket,,,,,I don't want to sound petty,,cause I did not get a direct hit form Charley or Frances (thought my brother and mother did) but I did go throught ANDREW--direct hit,,house gone,,the whole nine yards,,,,,


I would like to ask all the WONDERFUL people on the DIS BOARD to please take a moment out and say a prayer,,,,,,we can all MOVE it over the water and OUT TO SEA,,,, GOD BLESS!!

I don't think you are selfish to ask for prayers. I agree, Florida has been hit hard and another strong storm on the back of Frances would devastate the state. Prayers are being said.

We just got our electricity back on this morning (from Frances), and I think it's all being held together with chewing gum and spit, at this point.

it still shows 0 views on my computer, but many people have responded, so think the view-o-meter may be broken.

i find that praying for acceptance of whatever might come is more comforting than praying to change something that god has already planned to happen.

If it is truly in God's plan, then the answer to our prayers would be no. However, even if it hits, I don't think that would necessarily indicate it was in God's plan. What I do know is that God tells us we should pray to him with our concerns, so that is what I am doing.

As for changing nature, man is a part of nature and has every right to interact with it either directly or through prayer.

I have been praying that God dispells this storm for 2 days now. Along with Florida, I fear for Jamaica. This country is so poor and a storm of this magnatude will litterally devastate them. The loss of life and property will be beyond comprehension and they do not have the resources to even begin to deal with a disaster of that magnatude.

God, please, let this storm be turned.

In life praying for acceptance is very good. When it comes to what Fla has been through in the last month...I have been praying that ya'll are spared. (not that I am asking for it here mind you). Here's hoping for the best.

Hound...I just read your post. We went to Jamaica and stayed at a Sandals resort a few years back. These are some truly poverty stricken people, they already have nothing. I fear for that country...my prayers have certainly been with them also.
