(Numbers not exactly correct, but changed a bit to make the question easier to understand.)
I want five nights in standard view. Only three were available. I have booked the first two nights in water view. The two nights in water view are 20 points more than standard view will be. Let's say standard view is 80 points and lake view is 100 for the two nights. To book the lake view, I used a combination of points -- 70 points were current use year points; 24 points were borrowed; and 6 are one-time use purchased points.
I have standard view waitlisted for the first two nights, with instructions to cancel my two nights with lake view if the wait list request clears.
If the wait list request clears, I will have 20 points left over. I want the 20 that I get back to be current use year points. In other words, how can I be sure that, in taking 80 points to make my wait list reservation, they will use my 24 banked points and 6 one-time use points?
