If There's A Room Only Discount Released On 4/25...

What number do I call to add the RO discount to my existing reservation? Do I use the same number as everyone adding free dining? Is the RO discount "limited" to a certain number of rooms like the FD supposedly is?

I guess what I'm asking is do I need to get right on the phone tomorrow at 7am to add the RO discount (IF it comes out) or is the RO something I can add on later? I won't be able to stay on hold for multiple hours at a time tomorrow because of work so I want to be sure that I won't miss out on the RO discount (again, IF it is offered tomorrow).

Yes, it's limited. Yes, it's the same number. You could also try and do it online, but no guarantee that it'll be working or available.

Yes it is limited. Last year my TA was up and trying as soon as the Room Only offer went live and it was so limited, she wasn't able to get it for me. Each year it gets more and more limited. Good luck and I hope you ars able to get through and get something!

So it appears that the room only promo will be good for October? Do they usually black out Columbus Day weekend?

I'd expect the promo to be extremely limited Columbus Day weekend. Discounts exist to fill rooms, and looking at that week,d rooms are pretty full already.

So I started looking through the above link because I am curious on what the rumors say will be offered for Room Only Discount, dates and resorts. I looked through quite a few pages but didn't see anything. Does anyone know what those are?

I'd expect the promo to be extremely limited Columbus Day weekend. Discounts exist to fill rooms, and looking at that week,d rooms are pretty full already.

How did you know that Columbus Day weekend was pretty booked? I only see online bookings available through aug 25. Many people have been saying that they may book online early on the 25th. All august bookings? What did I miss?

Go look for rooms including the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend. That's what I mean by "pretty booked."

If I look for a 10/7-10/10 reservation, the following room types are not available:

• Anything less than a Suite at Coronado
• Standard and Pool view at POFQ
• Standard at CBR
• Standard at POR
• Anything but an Outer Building - GV or Outer Building - CL at Grand Flo
• Nothing save Club Level at Poly
• Nothing at all at Beach Club or Yacht Club
• TPV only at Contemporary Tower (no garden wing or cheaper views)

That's why I'm saying that booking patterns are such that the discounts are likely to be limited, and maybe for rooms people wouldn't want (like a Pirate Room at CBR). The Deluxes are really heavily booked, and at Mods, Standard Rooms aren't available via Disney either.

Thanks for the reply. I was confused how you got the info because I looked up rate and availability by clicking the 'check availability' button on the tab for rooms and rates for WL. That calendar for start dates only went to august25. When I start at the link 'all resorts' I can get to dates after that. Anyway, I'm looking for WL club level and it's available so far. Not sure if it will be included in reductions for that weekend or other oct dates. Thx again. Finding my way around here. .

Any idea when room only discounts will be released for Thanksgiving/December? In the past weren't they right around the same time?

Got really nervous this am and booked at YC room only reservation for November 26-December 3. I was going to wait until the actual promotion came out but looking at our normal resorts choices, nothing at all was available with the FD promotion. I got nervous about general room availability. In the past I have always been able to call and get the room discount applied after the fact, but seems like that is getting harder and harder to do and I don't want to be blocked out completely on our dates.

Thought I read that you can sometimes go in online and modify your reservation to add the promotion once released. Any thoughts?

Hopefully something will open-up before then because those are the days we want this year also. Just afraid things will book-up for 11/26-11/29 because of the FD promotion, which we don't need.

Agree. FD + all the new attractions will definitely bring in some extra people. We are hoping to go the same week. FD seems really limited though. But, maybe people booked ahead of time in hopes of applying to their current reservations

We had a standard room at POP booked for Oct. 17-24 for a while now but unfortunately since I didn't know about this RO discount it is already booked up. Oh well, would have been nice to save some money. Plus side I got all my ADRs last week, so I can't complain!
