If there is a FD offer for VISA holders

If there is a FD offer for VISA holders that comes out soon would it be open only to current card holders or could someone apply for the card after the offer is announced and then be able to take advantage of the offer?

More than likely it would be a General Code that just so happens to be released to the Disney Visa Card holders a couple of days early. The General Code typically comes out days later. You would need to make your deposit with your Disney Visa card to be able to book when the Disney Visa code is released.

Fingers crossed that we all get Free Dining (or something as great) this week!

The Visa deal comes out on a Thursday and then goes to the general public the following Monday. You must have your Visa card in hand when you call to book.

In October 2008, they offered free dining to Disney Visa cardholders, but it was never offered to the GP. We were able to apply for the card and get free dining for our trip.

I think sometimes they send emails out, but usually the best place to find out is here on the boards.

They have an offer right now that if you apply for the card you get $100 back after your first use. So, if I applied today and then used it to book when the FD comes out on Thursday will I get the $100 back on the booking or should I plan another purchase to get the $100 back? Also, I'm assuming that these offers are only given to card holders that have the premier visa card with the annual fee, is that correct?

If the promo is $100 back after your first use then it doesn't matter what you purchase. Now, re: FD... it is just a RUMOR that it will come out on Thursday but you shouldn't bank on that as no one really knows what the next promo will be and when it will come out. Lastly, you don't have to be a Disney premier visa card holder in order to get these offers regular Disney visa cardholders get the same offer if/when they are even released.

The reason I ask is because the last time they offered FD to Visa holders before the GP, people tried to apply and book the same day but were denied. They were told they had to have their card in hand to book the package.

As PP said, this is only a RUMOR. The last time there was a FD promo, we alrealy knew the dates and specifics of the deal way before now, so there may be absolutely nothing coming out March 1st. If that is the case, a lot of people are going to be highly disappointed. Too much "putting the cart before the horse" going on around here these days.

To be honest, I can't remember if we got the cards before we booked. I just know we applied for the card after we heard about the discount on the boards and after we had waited long enough to realize that it was not going to be offered to to the GP. They may have sent the cards to us by Fed Ex.

I beleive the initial FD offer in 2011 was offered to Disney Visa holders first, but when they did the extension of the additional FD dates, they went straight to the GP.

You would need to put down at least another $200.00 deposit with your Disney Visa to be able to apply the FD code - if it's released.

I'm hopefull for the FD discount, but still a bit skeptical. It's still a bit quiet in the Disney universe about this rumored FD discount. It it's real all of the Disney boards and blogs will be on fire on Wednesday.
