If the park closes at 8 how late can you make ressies?

So my question is just what's above. We want to go to mama melroses and DHS closes at 8pm, we were thinking about making ressies for 7:15 but now that I see that it closes at 8 I am thinking this might be too late. Is it?

I'm not sure this will help but it was pretty cool. We had reservations for Cinderella’s Castle a few years ago near closing time. And when we were done we walked out and there was no one in the MK but us. It made for a great photo op.

I made ressies for 8:00pm at the Brown Derby yesterday. The park closes at 8:00. I asked for latest available and the reservationist asked if 8:00 was OK.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if booking at 8 for a park that closes at 8 will lead to a rushed dinner or if it will help with the bus situation making it easier to get back to our resort.

We did a 9:15 ADR at Le Cellier when Epcot had a 9:30 Illuminations. We were not rushed at all and had the joy of walking out through an almost empty park. The lines at the buses were greatly depleted as well.

You can make an 8:00 reservation. I once spoke with a security guard at EPCOT who was saying how people book the 9:00 dinner, order a bottle of wine and end up leaving the park close to midnight. Must be kind of cool to walk through the parks at that hour.

I made my adr's today and for some reason Mama Melroses at DHS only books dinner until 5pm even though the park closes at 8pm, so I booked for 4:40 but I think that might be too early.
