If the murse is wrong............link to trip report on last pg, post 520.

I'm a lurker but I'm going the same time you guys are. Did you hear about the swine flu case reported at disneyworld this morning?!?!? Are you guys panicking at all or is it just me?

Hi! We are practically neighbours, lol!

I hadn't heard about that. Off to go research!

Okay, all caught up!

No, I am not particularly nervous, I mean, it's just a flu. Which sucks, but really, how many flus did I get exposed to this winter? Now that I said that, you KNOW I am the one who is gonna spend 3 days in bed all flu-ish on vacation, right? :rotfl:

Where are you staying, luvmyhusband?

Woohooo on the ADR's Jenny and what room did you request at POR?

I meant building requests. I requested 14 or 18. Keep your fingers crossed! When Michael and I were watching the planning DVD and the Mom's Panel part came on, I told him that one of my DIS/FB friends got selected (you) and he seemed genuinely impressed- as he should be. ;)

How sweet that all the family are getting so excited!

:cloud9: Chloe made a paper chain and when she took off this morning's and counted only 11 left she almost passed out!

EHMMM, EHMMM, sniff, sniff....definately nothing serious but I wouldn't want to spread it to the congregation on Sunday;):rotfl2:

Donny's trying to scare me into going on Sunday by saying that I may incur the wrath of God for telling lies and not goinf to church by not get any of the ADR's that I want in retribution:eek:...."Am I bovvered?!?!?!"

Here is my take sweets. My guess is that this cannot be the owrst thing you have ever done so the wrath was coming regardless. :lmao: :goodvibes

Awww! Disney brings out the kid in all of us!:lovestruc

Totally! :cloud9:

We'll check in periodically as I'll have my laptop with us.:thumbsup2 You guys can play "guess what Jenna & Jenny are doing right at this moment" or "which one of Jenna's kids is begging for something that he/she is NOT going to get?" Or my favorite...."is Jenna speaking to Nate at this part of the trip?":rotfl:

Or we can play: How many bottles of Rum are left? :rotfl2: We are bringing our laptop but to upload photos.

The boys are technically "allowed" 3 illegal absences per year. After 3 you have to visit the magistrate & you get fined $75.00 per day. It's ridiculous! 2 extra days aren't going to kill them! It's not like they don't get straight A's or Chris isn't in the gifted reading program or anything. Oh, and one of the days Jon will be missing is a field trip day anyway. :rolleyes1

I got nothing sugar. The kids school is being so awesome! They are allowing Chloe to test early and Gab and Joshua to test late.

I can't believe they make you pay for missing days of school. :scared1:

I don't know about your school but since we finished our testing they really haven't been working all that hard. This late in year is much easier. We have less that a month left. Our kids get out May 21st.

I can understand the not being able to sleep faze. Too many thoughts running amok.

:hyper: The excitement and reality that we'll be in Disney is 1 week and 4 days has hit hard! :cool1:

Of course! Especially since the school only gets funding for the days kids are actually in school.....:rolleyes1

:rolleyes1

Jon is on his second round of state testing. They are scheduled from yesterday until May 8th, which is why we chose the dates we did. I knew he would be done after the 8th and wouldn't have to go through the hassle of a make-up test.

Our last day is now June 10th. It was originally around the 5th but we have more snow days to make-up.

I am a bad mom and chose right in the middle of testing. :rotfl:

You know what sounds even cooler than 12 days? ONE WEEK AND FIVE DAYS!

pixiedust: Try one week and 4 days!

Okay, all caught up!

Really just think about all the things you are exposed to anyway on a regular trip to Disney or even just going to the grocery store. Have you ever heard what is on those things?:crazy2:

Here is the link for the swine flu info at at Disney

I think you should all be fine if you practice good hygene. Bring lots of Purell and Clorox wipes.

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes I am SO not going to stress over this swine flu.

Now you aren't. We will all be fine. :goodvibes

Okay I called my doc and his receptionist said that docs are asking people to wear masks even outside if you have been somewhere with confirmed swine flu. :faint:

You will all be ok. If you can bring the antibiotics then do it. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

I'm staying at PoP this time, We ARE practically neighbors passthepixiedust! hows the "New Moon" filming going? Anyway, I didn't mean to get anyone upset about the swine flu, it's just that being a nurse, I know how fast things can change in two weeks. If we were going tomorrow I wouldn't think anything of it.

Hi all!
Your trip is so close! I'm trying to emotionally prepare for all of you being gone for so long. :sad1:
I'm looking forward to hearing all of your restaurant reviews--you're going to a lot of places I've never been to.

Oh great! Another thing to worry about!:sad2:

I've already packed anti-bacterial hand wipes and Purell in the murse. I was bringing those even before the swine flu scare.

 Maybe people will get scared & change their plans & the parks won't be as crowded!

Stop worrying!:

Official: No Swine Flu Case In Orlando
Health Department Says Lab Results Not Finalized

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Despite reports of a case of swine flu in Orlando, the Orange County Health Department director told Local 6 News the case has not been confirmed.

Dr. Kevin Sherin from the Orange County Health Department said there has not been any confirmed cases of swine flu in Orlando.

Someone who may have visited Mexico and returned to Orlando was tested for swine flu, but the results have not come back from the state lab in Jacksonville, Sherin said. The test was sent out Monday night.

A local TV station reported Tuesday morning that there was a confirmed case of swine flu at the Florida Hospital.

Sherin said people who think they have the virus are flooding hospitals, but this is the first case of a patient presenting flu like symptoms that are compelling enough to test further.

There are now 50 confirmed American cases of swine flu: 28 at a New York City high school, 13 others in California, six in Texas, two in Kansas and one in Ohio. Only one of those has led to a hospitalization.

In New York, the school reporting all the state's flu victims is closed for now. In northern Ohio, a school reporting one student with the disease is closed for the week. Ohio school officials said a cleaning crew has been sanitizing doorknobs, desktops and telephones.

Some schools are also closed in Texas, California and South Carolina.

Elsewhere, there are signs that the public is taking precautions. Pharmacies in Manhattan say paper facemasks have been selling by the box.

In Illinois, students at a Chicago school have been told not to shake hands with anyone. And residents of Guadalupe County, Texas, are being asked to avoid public gatherings and stay home if they feel ill.

That reminds me, what am I doing at work when I could be out stalking, um, I mean admiring, young vampires?!?!
I am refusing to stress about the flu myself, so no worries!

I was just coming over to tell you that they have recanted their story. Their are no confirmed cases of the swine flu.

I'll be holding you to your posting promise;):rotfl2: coz I'm a bit sad like that:rolleyes1

Big D is of the opinion that I do not need to phone as soon as the phones open, that 45mins will not make that much difference:sad2:...have I taught the boy nothing:eek:. If we left if up to him I'd need to write everything down and he'd still get it wrong:headache:
