....will the commentators cry?:confused3

(Just wondering, as they do seem to worship the ground Brady walks on).;)

I'm just glad Favre isn't in it. Between him and Brady they wouldn't know whose butt to kiss more! I swear, I think John Madden wants to marry him the way he goes on. Blech!

When the Giants win on Super bowl Sunday, I don't know if the commentators will cry, but Eli Mannin Will be going to Disney World!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Does anyone remember that the Patriots cheated?
Anyone?

Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought they videotaped games and found out about the other teams plays.

I am not a big NFL fan but a friend was telling me about the Pats.

Here we go again.

All teams videotape the other teams. It's perfectly legal and still occurs. What the Patriots did in the 1st quarter during the 1st game of the season, was videotape from the sidelines as opposed to the bleachers or press box.

Of course, that's why the Patriots are 18-0.

Excuse me...that is why I posted..."correct me if I am wrong"

Thank you for that info...btw, why was the coach fined $500,000 if it was legal? Or was that for something else?

Just sending a shout out to the Giants - all the way from Colts country!

Go ELI!!!

It wasn't legal. Taping is allowed, but not from the sidelines.

It wasn't legal....if they hav videotaped elsewhere, it would have been fine, but they taped from the sidelines.
Now...that was really early in the season..the Pats have gone on to be unbeaten (to this point)..I think it's time to put the whole 'taping thing' aside. Wrong? Yes, but it's old news.

Will the commentators cry if (gasp) the Giants win? Not hardly. It would seem that just about all games I watched (all of 'em) the commentators, not all, but a lot (like Phil Simms) kept looking for excuses as to why the Pats kept winning.
Will they prevail on Sunday? I hope so. It would be nice for them to have a perfect season....both regular and post. I actually have friends who normally cheer for the Giants who feel this way as well. Okay...so they're not die hard Giants fans ;) !

I've been saying from the cheated game incident that this season should have an * next to it...if the patriots win .

Oh come one now! If the Colts had a season like the Patriots, they would be worshipping the ground Peyton walked on. If ANY QB had a season like Brady has had, they too would be worshipped.

Heck, my DH thinks the post season wins last year were handed to the Colts, just so Manning could get a ring. (I don't agree, but he is adamant about it). Peyton was the Golden Child last year. This year it is all about Brady.

GO PATRIOTS.

Why? They never cheated in that game. The guy was got before they could act on it. It has been said many, many time, that the Patriots were not the only team to do that. They were just the ones that got caught.

They certainly have not cheated since then, so how would you explain 16-0 regular season and a 2-0 post season?

Could it be that they are just THAT GOOD?:rolleyes1

If I remember correctly, Phili had a videographer taping from the sidelines that was kicked out last year. I could be wrong, but I remember hearing about that. So every team does it. The Patriots won 18 straight games because they are a great team. And remember, when they were caught taping, it was in the first quarter of the first game.

I will start this off by saying I realize you said you don't agree with your husband, so this isn't directed at you, but COME ON!!!

I guess the 21-6 come from behind victory had nothing to do with Reche Caldwell not being able to catch a ball if he had "stick em" on his hands or Addai running up the middle untouched late in the game to score the winning touchdown or the fact that the defense looked totally gassed at the end of the game or(and my personal favorite) Brady throwing a pick to Marlin Jackson to end the game! So what I'm hearing is that the hoodie and Brady agreed to lie down and let the Colts win in the second half? Holy Crap! That's quite a conspiracy and the NFL Network didn't catch on? It's also being said that the Ravens, who hate the Colts, agreed to throw that interception on the goal line? Dang, I didn't give Brian Billick enough credit!

Seriously, saying that Peyton had his ring handed to him is just as whiny as the people who say Brady is getting all of the attention. It's all sour grapes! The fact is people don't like high profile players getting tons of attention when it isn't their player. I do think there are few that people want to see win even if it isn't their team, Favre comes to mind.

I hope this is a great Superbowl! This house is totally rooting for ELI!!! The Pats could be knocked out by a Manning two years in a row! Yes, that's sour grapes you're reading!;)

I'll be back to continue reading this thread after I go buy my new Giants cap.;)
