Was wondering if the fort offered mousekeeping for your camping unit would you use it ? Last time we went camping at the fort I loved it, but hated to have to clean up. I love ( like most people ) to come back to freshly made beds, clean carpet, trash emptied etc...now we are staying again at the fort in 2009 because we want to bring our newest member of our family with us, (our doggie ) and the only thing I serious don't look forward to is the clean up. I've often thought if disney offered mousekeeping for my unit that I would pay the extra to have it done, would anyone else, just curious ?

Nah, because of the nature of camping it's pretty much an organized mess the whole time you're there anyways, I guess if you had a lot of people in one camper it could help, still it just kind of doesn't fit.

Then again, I can't imagine mousekeeping enjoying going into random people's campers and having no idea what they might find ;)

Hmmm, I am not sure. The idea of it sounds like heaven, but I don't know if I would want them in there w/o me. I mean I guess it would not be different than a hotel room being attended or a maid at your house. I don't leave anything of much value in my camper anyway. Would she clean the tub and do the dishes too, not that I use my kitchen much at WDW.

Also, the whole key thing. You would either have to leave it unlocked or provide them with a key.

I guess my answer is maybe.

Hey, maybe someone could start a business. Maid service for campers at FW, like they have the fairy godmothers that will come and babysit for you. You could schedule them to come on days that you are hanging out at the fort. That could work. I also would like to find someone here at home that I could pay to clean the camper after we get home from a trip. THAT I need.:laundy:

LOL... I would be ashamed to have anyone clean my camper whenever we came off a trip...we just came back from 8 days at the beach and my tt took three days to get back clean, it was a living mess. I love camping but I also like a clean camper and hate to go to the parks all day and then clean it up afterwards, or even clean it before hand, poops me out !

I would not want anyone in the camper, cleaning a camper is different from a hotel room, part of what like about camping is actually not worrying to much about cleaning....

I don't think I would pay for it either. Itcan be clean and within 5 minutes the kids would have it a wreck. I also bring a couple of laptops, Ipods, camera, and other things and I like just leaving them out. We just lock the motorhome door and go.

I dunno. I think it would just end up being one MORE thing we would all complain about/criticize those complaining about it etc :rotfl2:

I can just see it now.......

OP
MOUSEKEEPING DRAINED MY BLACKWATER BUT DIDN'T FLUSH THE GREY WATER!!!! MICKEY HATES ME! MY TRIP IS RUINED!!!! :lmao:

This is NOT my experience AT ALL! They sent my favorite CM (Good ole Cousin Eddie) every hour, on the hour to do everything I wanted the entire time I was there. He also gave me a free YOMD oil change and showed me how to part my hair to hide my porcelain skull pate. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!

I'm just sayin.......

There are private companies that offer this service in the Orlando area (can't think of any of their names off-hand). I saw at least 3 different companies at FW during the "Running of the Prevost" in March this year (not that there is anything wrong with that-I mean gold fixtures tarnish over time) ;)

I subscribe to the "organized" mess theory of camping. How else to explain the fact that we have a gazillion pictures of the outside of people's campers on this board but very few inside pictures (myself included) :lmao:

Not to say that campers are slobs (I would expect they simply reflect the larger population when it comes to tidiness -ok probably a bit above average actually), but even the biggest motorhome does not have a large area by sq/ft. Things naturally pile up inside when you have limited storage space. Throw in small kids/toys etc.

I haven't cleaned the inside of my trailer since 1998.

No way would I have someone else in the MH cleaning! It only takes 5-10 minutes to have everything spit-polished. With just my DH and me, clean up is quick.
