If Poly and WL were the same price, which would you choose?

Believe me, the pictures *do not* do WL justice! The pictures didn't really "do" anything for me either. At our CR stay, one of our buses made a stop at WL & oh my gosh! I just knew I had to stay there some time! Even my dh was impressed & nothing ever impresses him!

You will see the first time you walk into the lobby. There are so many "hidden" beauties, take the time to look slowly.

The Polynesian
You'll fit right in with the hot weather. We love staying there with our three kids. You can't beat an airconditioned monorail in the summer. The zero entrty pool is great for little ones. We love to watch the fireworks at night while we are swimming in the pool. O'hanas is one of our favorite places to eat. You will enjoy the extra space in your room as well. One thing about the Polynesian that I like and I know I'm the only one that does, is the fact that the sink is in the bathroom. I can up early and get all ready without waking up my sleeping kids.

The Poly is the better deluxe resort. While the WL is pretty it has nothing on the Poly. I have stayed at the WL once and that was enough for me. We have since been back to the Poly 4 times and are going again in April. The pool is much larger and better for little kids as it is zero entry. The WL pool has an undersized kiddy pool that was jammed packed and not worth our time being there. The transportation is always better at the Poly. The rooms are huge at the Poly while the rooms at the WL are the same size at the Caribbean Beach resort. What makes it worse is that they cram queen size beds into the WL room which make them even tinier! I will always pay more to stay at the Poly. If you really want the deluxe experience then you have to stay at the Poly.

Well, I didn't give two hoots for the Poly. I didn't consider it a classic, so much as dated- very, very, dated. It was the TTA of all the resorts in which I've stayed.

As much as I disliked the cheesy decor of the Brady Bunch-esque Poly, I'd have to stay there over the WL if the prices were exactly the same. The monorail and short walk to TTC from the Poly, are better than the sloooooowww boat from WL to the MK.

I honestly think that I'll have to give the Poly another try someday. Perhaps I didn't give it a real chance. Everyone else seems to love it, but I honestly was happy to check out of there and into the AS resort. I really disliked it that much.
