the disney resorts to get an idea for next time

i would love to checkout AKL and maybe WL and CBR
but will they let you if you are staying off property on this trip

All the resorts are free to visit. You can drive or take the Disney transportation with your passes. Many people explore the hotels when they have PS's in the various resort restaurants. If you mean actually checking out the rooms in the resorts, I don't know if they give tours of those since I've never asked.

You'll wind up the same as me, lol. I like so many I can't seem to make up my mind about where to stay next. At least with a family of five, my choices are narrowed for a one room stay.

Have fun.

We went to WL on our way to HoopDeeDoo. We went up to the fron desk and asked if we could see a room. The lady was very happy to show us a room. We asked her some questions and she told a liitle bit of history about WL.

I would give it a try. All they can say is they do not have a room avaiable to show you. We were lucky to get to see one.

Give it a try.

We just were at Disney last Thursday and Friday. We stayed off site but spent Thursday afternoon exploring some of the resorts.
We didn't have any problems getting into any of them.
If you are driving just go up to the entrance gate, when you get there tell the guard you are going to shop or explore. They will ask to see some form of ID and then you will be allowed in to park for up to three hours for free.
We are going back in a few weeks and spending 2 nights at the POP Century.
