If not Budget, Avis or Hertz?

Since the Budget shuttle seems questionable, can anyone share their experience with either Avis or Hertz? It is my understanding they both offer shuttles as well (?) And if they turn out to be alot more in price, would taking a taxi to & from Budget's lot solve the problem? Thanks for the advice! ;)

On our 5/29 cruise we used Hertz and had fine service...Had their own line at the Disney tent with no one in it! Waited 5 minutes and the next shuttle was there. We felt bad standing next to freinds we had met on board who were waiting in a very long and slow Budget line.
We did not compare prices between Hertz and Budget...but at that point it didn't matter!

We have only used Budget, and have been very lucky with the shuttle service both times. But from my observations of waiting for Budget, and of taking Happy Limo (which picks up by the waiting area), the Hartz shuttle line is typically shorter than Avis.

We used Avis in 2002 and the on the way to the port this year and their shuttle bus is larger and can take more people and luggage back and forth.

We used budget after getting off the ship, all I'll say is never again! The shuttle bus seemed to take forever, and when it arrived it only a 7/8 seater, so there was only enough room for two families and luggage. I'm sure we waited around 45mins before we got a shuttle. Some people were so annoyed that they sent the family member who was driving to pick up the car and come back and collect them.

The guy who was driving the shuttle said it was busy as two ships were in port and only one shuttle was running.

It definitely put me off using them again.

We are using budget in sept. I think ,I just may take a cab and go back and get the fam.

That's what I think we're going to do too. If we can't get a shuttle right away, I'll send DH over in a taxi.

We just used budget. There is only one lady working in the office. There is only one shuttle running and the driver is a very old man. We had no problem getting to the port. We did have to wait about 35 minutes for the shuttle to arrive when we got off the ship (rcl). We are going on another cruise in August and we are using budget to get to the port and Avis coming home. It will cost $5 more to use Avis but when we were waiting in July we saw Avis and Hertz come and go at least twice. I think $5 is worth it since we also had to wait in the office to pick up the car at Budget because the lady was coming and going from the office moving the vehicles around.

You're all scaring me now! I'll still use Budget from MCO to Port, but I think I'll be checking out Avis or Hertz for after the cruise.

I'm curious about National and Alamo because they are listed on Mousesavers. Anybody have thoughts on these two?:wave2:
