So I went ahead and made more PS for just in case we change our dates, but was not able to get PS for breakfast at Carnation Cafe. How long does it normally take to get seated with no PS? It will be a Wednesday most likely, otherwise a Monday.

TIA!!

I don't know about Wednesday or Monday, but I have had many a meal at Carnation without PS on Fridays and Saturdays, and we waited a long time. In fact, the time we spent in line was what prompted me to get PS's for all of our meals this year! I assume Wed. or Monday has to be better, but because Carnation has such limited seating, there is always a wait for any meal, from breakfast to dessert. We have waited anywhere from ten minutes to over 30 minutes (closer to 45), and decided to do PS this year. Last year in December, on the last day of our trip which was a Sunday, we had breakfast at Carnation, and there were quite a few folks ahead of us in line. We stood for about 15 minutes, and then we got seated before the folks ahead of us because there were only two of us and a table for two had opened up, whereas the people who had been waiting longer had 5-6 people in their parties. But again, this was a Sunday in December, so I imagine that would be much more crowded at that time than when you go! I wish they had more seating like they used to!

I never make PS for Carnation, and I've never waited in line for long. For breakfast, if you get there at opening, just head straight over to CC & get in line, if there is even a line-it shouldn't take long. Or, if you'd rather have a later breakfast, we've also gone after 10am and waited very little. They switch to lunch at 11am.

Ive been when there is minimal wait and others where the line is all the way down to the bathrooms so if you really want to do CC for breakfast(which I definitely would do) maybe what you could do is go as soon as park opens and get in line and maybe you wont have a long wait....oh also I would go on wed. vs monday...mondays are a busier day in the park than what it used to be eons ago it seems like

Thanks everyone!! Our plan was definately for first thing in the morning, regardless of which day we chose. But we are now strongly leaning towards Wednesday b/c I did decided to make PS for lunch at CC just in case, and out lunch PS are on Monday. So hopefully if we floor it first thing Wednesday morning and head straigh to CC, we will get seated shortly!!

Thanks again!!

actually...isnt the rope farther up?? once you get in just make your way up the left side of the street or better yet go in through the stores and make your way through and you will end up right outside of the restaurant....
