Will I have to pay her buffet price?

She's picky and probably will eat before hand, but I did make a reservation.

Thanks

yes. servers don't monitor who eats what. it is assumed that all that enter are eatingf and charge accordingly

Yes. You can't go to a buffet and not be charged, whether you eat anything or not (unless it's a child under 3).

There are plenty of items on the buffet, even for the pickiest eater. How old is she? Is she old enough to go off by herself for an hour or so? There was another thread where people were talking about letting their 15-16 yo kids go off on their own for a few hours.

Even my picky vegetarian finds stuff to eat at the Biergarten!

She's 6 and will not on her own .. *of course*

I tell you she's picky - if it's not chicken nuggets and fries, i'm done for.
I will find out what it'll cost me for her... I'll just have to pay it! :(

My DS is picky too. I do the dining plan. When we went it was around $10 for children under 9. So he got to eat lunch, dinner and a snack for around $10.

Hmmmm, my 15 year old son wasn't feeling well when we went to Biergarten in October and we didn't have to pay for him? I'm almost positive b/c MIL would have really had a fit. We just told the waitress he wasn't eating. I will have to ask my MIL, but I really didn't think we had been charged (we were NOT on the ddp)

Well, I called and moved our dinner ressie to lunch (430pm to 230pm), price difference is only $1.00. They said to mention it to the restaurant, they might make the acception.

My outlook is that we eat as a family. The seleciton is before you, enjoy what you will. If not, we open for business tomrrow starting with breakfast so make wise choices. Whine... is not included.

hahahha, I was thinking the same, I tell her that, if you don't like what you see, there is always a meal tomorrow ;)

That was too funny - even if true...
That's pretty much the way we raised our children too - and there was very little they didn't eat.
However, the grandchildren are a different story entirely!!!

:rotfl: I love it! The perfect answer to so many. May I quote you often?

Love this post. I can't believe the number of picky eater posts on here. We were allowed to not eat whatever. However, we didn't get anything until the next scheduled meal. DH says his family was the same.

I am still trying to get over the ones last week saying a child wouldn't eat dinner at LTT. I mean really, did they fry chicken nuggets and fries for Thanksgiving?

That being said, there are several very kid friendly options.

According to the menu on the AllEars site it lists mac & cheese. We ate there in Aug. but don't remember if they had mac & cheese or not. There is chicken (not nuggets), there is a regular salad, and there are different types of breads. There may be something that she will eat. Our daughter is a picky eater and found plenty that she liked.

They have chicken nuggets and mac n cheese:)

I do not recall seeing anything like that on the buffet. Because I guarantee that's what my kids would have eaten if it was there. They survived on various types of wursts, bread, maybe a few other items, and desserts.

They have chicken schnitzel, which is sort of like a big flat breaded chicken nugget, but it seems kids won't eat things where they don't recognize the shape (I don't get that at all, but I don't have kids.) They do have macaroni and cheese.

Some guests may have had exceptions made for them, but the general rule is no one over the age of 3 sits at a table at the buffet without being charged, because it's not possible to police the non-paying guest and make sure they don't eat anything. I was allowed to sit at a table with friends at Trails End last week, but I came in after they had already finished eating.
