Assume that money was plentiful. You could be a SAHM. How many kids would you like to have had, or would you have?

My wife said SIX!

YIKES!

I have 3, money was never an issue, never even came into play when we had those girls. If I was younger when I started my family I would have loved to have 1 more.

I would love to have four.
We have two and I'll really have to push for #3 (Dh would have been happy w/ one).

Probably 3. But sadly, we will never be able to have children. DW Lauri can't have a baby while on the medication that she takes, she can't live long enough without it, and adoption agencies will never place a child with us when the adoptive mother is so ill. :(

Hubby and I were just talking about this tonight.....

I am currently ( and will always be) a SAHM and we have 4. I am not getting any younger (28) and if money were no object I would have at least 6. We are currently discussing #5 but will have to have a tubal ligation reversal before we even think of TTC.

0-2. I still want to be able to live my life!

Plus I think sticking to two is responsible--DH and I would only be replacing ourselves and not actively contributing to population growth.

2...any more than that I don't think they would each get the attention growing up they would deserve.....I now have one since that is what I can afford comfortably....

3. We are planning 2, but 3 if we didn't have to worry about money. Also once you pass two you go from man on man to zone defense :teeth:

Well, I have 2 kids, and my BF has 1.....we both agree that it is enough for us, but if we ever got married and money was no issue, then maybe I would like another with him, but I realy doubt it!! lol

I don't know...We talk about having another baby A LOT. My DH would LOVE another, and well...I feel complete with having just one. I love being able to give him whatever we want. That said, I hate the fact the only thing we have not given him is a sibilng. and like I said, thats more my doing. I am not saying I would not totally love and welcome a second, but I just adore our family the way it is.

I don't think it would matter. I don't think I'm the type to have a bunch of kids and I think it is smart to figure that out sooner than later.

I am completely happy with the 2 that I got. But I really wanted 5. DH came from a huge family tho, and didn't want alot of kids. I feel so blessed to have my 2 tho, they are my dream come true for sure!

I don't care how much money I would ever have, I would only want the 2 kids that I already have. I have always know that I only wanted 2.

We have 4 kids and I think that's a good number for us, but I think if things had of been different I could have ben convinced (or convinced myself) to have one more. I also think that if things had of been different I could have convinced myself not to have as many, but I won't trade them ( unless you have something really good in mind ;) DVC, maybe??? :rotfl2: ).

I got a couple of guinea pigs here that are pretty easy to care for. How old are the kids you're willing to part with?

Obi-Wan , Have you & your DW looked into adoption? I'm sorry to be so nosey, but I'm curious, because my good friend just adopted 2 babies in a row and she has MANY medical problems. I was surprised she was able to get them. The first was an open adoption where the birth mother chose her. The 2nd is a child that was abandoned, and was a ward of the state.

Well, what day is it today? I don't do guinea pigs, BTW! I said DVC, lady!!! You know, Disney Vacation Club! :rotfl2: Today I would trade my 15yo--he's got an attitude. My 12yo has been ok, but he did eat MY last 3 Musketeers (no, luvmydogs, not THAT), but I won't get rid of him for that. My 6yo was quite cute today--yesterday he was obnoxious. In about a week my college DD will be home for spring break and I'll be begging someone to take her, tuition payments and all. I cried like you wouldn't believe when she went to college and now I cry when she comes home. :rotfl:

I always wanted a boy and a girl (and a couple of dogs :teeth: ). I have a boy and a girl and a couple of dogs. Wouldn't change a thing.

To Obi-Wan: :grouphug:
