If July is your month, I would reconsider

About the line jumping- here in America, we understand that it's rude. I have no idea whether people in Brazil think that's "rude" or not. On another post, people complained about rude Japanese people who constantly bumped into them. I've never been to Japan, but people I know who have been there have told me that people are pushed and shoved all the time in crowded places- like the bullet trains. I'm not making exuses- I'm just saying that maybe we should hold off judgement unless we know for sure.

For example, Americans jump in lines at WDW all the time. Disney not only condones it, they set the whole thing up- it's called a Fastpass!

We encountered a lot of rude French people on our trip this month. There was shoving and foot trampling and general nose turning up when you expressed your displeasure at their actions, as they walked away, saying something in a language I don't speak.
So we're in Epcot, in France... my DH, whose heratige is French, puts on a beret, makes a silly face, and says "how do I look?", in a goofy accent. Not thinking, I said "great, now just push me and the image will be complete"
I look up and one of the girls working in the shop is just leering at us. :lmao:
I'm a dork.

I've been to Disney about 35 times and have always run into massive amounts of
Americans at WDW (<sarcasm>)

SOME of them were rude. Some were littering. Some cut in lines. OMG, some of them got Fastpasses too! Some burped, others cut the cheese, some whacked their kids something terrible...it goes on and on.

I guess it happens with peoples from all over the world. Not just Brazilians.

"...but a true adventure emerges, when we bring them all (stories) together as one. I hope you enjoy our story tonight. Reflections, of Earth. Whhhooof!!!"-----Illuminations

I planned a "last minute" trip to WDW July of 2004. Oh, what a mistake that was. July? in Florida? I just had no clue. My California body was just not used to the heat/humidity (mostly humidity). I so loved WDW and everything about it, but the heat/humidity was just too much.
Oh well, live and learn.

One holds the spot in line and then when they get to the front, the other 40 jump in.

Do the CM's really let this happen? Why don't they make the person holding the spot go to the end of the line? Other than the exception of taking a small child on a fast run to the restroom, (which I personally would go to the end of the line) I would think that this would not be allowed by ANY group.

I agree with hep516. Disney is for people all over the world. When guests from other countries visit WDW, they may view us americans as a nuisance. Also, Brazillians aren't the only ones littering in WDW. I don't think anyone could honestly say that they have never seen Americans litter before.

I actually like July. I have been to Disney in July (4th of July week to be exact) for the last two years. It's busy but the parks are also open late, and I'm from up North where I live in a dark snowy depression for 6 months so I love the 100% humidity and 98 degree weather.

With that said; I know the tour groups you speak of :) . I actually thought they behaved themselves pretty good. I mean, when you have any big group there will be some pushing and noise; but hey, you're at a theme park; it's noisy. They didn't really bother me.

We went in July last year and plan on going next July as well. :sunny:

This past February we took 55 students on an organized tour within our own country for 4 days. I understand that large groups of young people coming at you can be intimidating but I think its all in the hands of the group leaders.

For our group a certain behaviour was expected and was recieved. That being said, I am a realist and know that we can't control what happens if we're not right there~ie any alone time.

No one likes rudeness no matter where you are or where you're from!
