If you had only yourself to worry about when planning your WDW vacation, what things would be your priorities? :confused3 I've been dreaming of a solo trip for a long time, but now that I actually have one scheduled, I'm at a loss of what to do

Spa Treatment, cocktails and appetizers at Cal Grill while watching the fireworks, since F&W and coming up definitely some wine tasting and some other related seminars, people watching and just soaking up the atmoshere, lesurely soak in the pool or hot tub, maybe a quick trip to the outlet malls, a tour of one of the parks like the sago or architecture tour in EC.

Just a few things.

Strolling through World Showcase. Slowly. And stopping whenever I feel like it.

Champagne, somewhere.

Having dessert, with no one looking.

Sleeping in and going to bed early.

If I went to Disney by myself two of my top priorities would be:

**Exploring fantasyland at MK because DH never wants to go on Dumbo, Peter Pan, etc.

**Shopping - and if not shopping, browsing. I would go to all of the stores, particularly the ones in World Showcase.

I agree with Grumpy92 - cocktails & wine tasting. I'd also spend some time
wandering the parks taking some pics esp MK. Shopping would also be fun, I'd do some holiday shopping & be able to keep what I buy a surprise.
I haven't been able to do the tours for ages 16&up - I think I'd do one of those too!! :teeth:

By my self? Hmmmmm....I would do the world showcase nice and slow and eat at some of the restaurants like the one in Paris that I can't get any one to go to. I would DEFINATELY go into every shop and take my time looking and I would people watch! I love to watch people just wander around the world and listen to the different languages that are spoken. Helen

I'd take my time and enjoy the ambiance, strolling around the parks from opening time until closing time.

I'd eat every meal in whatever park I'm in on a given day, and I wouldn't park hop (it'd be value season, of course).

And I'd spend a lot of time missing my DW terribly.

What do you want to try that the family is real keen on? We never watch parades, skip the fireworks...I would like to watch them in their entirety one time. I would take the time to wander about and really see the surroundings instead of rushing from ride to ride. I would try different restaurants that I hadn't been to. I might try an activity (golf, driving, horseback riding) that I hadn't had time for.

Spend a whole day at a spa and lots of shopping, especially in World Showcase. :thumbsup2

and tours. I would do tours.

Doing some tours.
Eating at a character breakfast.
Taking my time rather than rushing.

I would love to visit the "world" alone. I would:

Visit the World Showcase and take my time strolling around the different countries.
I would explore Downtown Disney at a leisurely pace.
Sleep in longer.
Have a bathroom all to myself, lol.
slow down and people watch, I love doing that but always rushing to the next ride my 2 teenage boys want to go on.

I would also spend some quality time in World Showcase. Next, I would stroll down Main St in MK enjoying the sounds and sights. I love to stand at the top of the train station and just look at the castle and all the shops on MS.

If you have some extra $$$ consider trying some of the tours, we did this for the first time in April. The backstage magic tour is all day and sooooo worth the $$$$. The segway tour in Epcot is also something great you could do on your own, and it does not cost as much. The CM"s will take cool pics of you too!!! ENJOY!!!!

OPPS..I almost forgot...I would easily spend an entire day in DTD!!!

I agree with the other posters. I am going solo for the first time this Nov/Dec and have been thinking a lot about what I want to do. DH likes racing to get to the next ride and jamming a lot in to a short time. I intend to STROLL... look at all the landscaping and smell all the flowers, sit with a book in a lovely place in the world, do a lot of world showcase shopping, resort and dtd shopping, spend two days each in Epcot and AKL, have scheduled both the Segway tour and the Wanyama evening safari, and have planned two afternoons to just enjoy the resorts.... I also plan to enjoy a number of the rides, but no commando stuff this trip. Just lots of people watching, smiling at little children, and taking pictures for families. I am so excited about this...

I'd go on all of my favorite rides as many times as I want. Relax in the parks or DTD and people watch. And shop! I visited the parks many times alone when I was working there and, other than rides, my favorite things to do were people watch and shop.

Some things I wouldn't do - worry about arriving for SpectroMagic, Wishes, Fantasmic!, etc. so early. With only one person to take up space it'd be easier to show up just before the show starts. I wouldn't spend so much time planning what to do, I'd just go where my heart takes me. If I want to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority 5 times in a row, darn it, I'm going to!

Definitely STROLL!!!! And people watch!

Just enjoy the "experience" instead of running from run thing to the next.

Solo trips are a LOT of fun! It is so nice getting to sleep when you want to, get up when you want to, eat wherever you want, do what you want when you want!

4 of my 7 trips have been solo, so I'm happy to answer any questions!

I would go on all the rides that nobody else in the family wants to ride even if the wait is over an hour. I would like being on my own schedule. I like to sleep late and hit the parks later and stay until closing. I would also eat where I want to, when I want to without having to wonder if everyone else is hungry.

I would go on at least one tour since we've never done one before, explore all of Epcot; try to see Wishes from a boat, the Contemporary, or CRT; take a late night out @MK; shop at the outlets; go to PI (we've never experienced that section of DTD) and visit the spa.
