If it wasn't for bad luck...Updated 4/17/07

...I wouldn't have any at all. (This is supposed to be humorous, not complaining!)

Did anyone else have the worst luck last night? I'm not complaining, because it was so bad it was funny. Plus, I was on a chocolate high from the Easter bunny droppings, so I didn't wig out. Here's what happened to me:

1. Went through Hula's room three times last night on my main character. Lost all three times.

2. I rode the Fantasyland rides on my main character only for seven hours yesterday evening, received 12 sword in stone magic pins

3. The "charming" sword would not release from that "darling" stone ANY of the aforementioned 12 tries!

4. DC four times.

5. Got stuck at entrance to rooms so badly that by the time the lag cleared, I was heading into the next room!

6. Tried running through the ride with PinkgalYall and Avastmaygirl, only to split up and be reunited randomly. In spite of the fact that I entered through the turnstile first, on the Alice ride, Pink always wound up in front of me. On Peter Pan, Pink and May would be three or four people behind.

7. Referring to number 6, the pestering kid who was shouting, "Leader, be my friend, leader be my friend." over and over managed to stay with me the entire ride, and landed in the same Fantasyland Courtyard that I did! LOL.

My day was not as fortunate as yours. LOL

Well, I had a nice Easter Lunch and Dinner with my family.. and the later I also got stuck in a Teleporter in Hula's Room, but only tried once and gave up.

Well now I have the entire week off and waiting for my mom to give me a call on her lunch break giving me a list of chores

It's been feeling as though lately the DC monster is trying to take up permanent residence at our house. My DD & I have been plagued by him numerous times, while trying to play our music mixes, clicking on the npc ghosts in Haunted Mansion or getting into the host rooms. Luckily DD was able to get through the Twisted Teacups once last week and won. Ever since then both of our characters crash at least once while waiting to get in. At least we have all month so I've written down the events and we'll keep trying.

Please, all, I'm seriously not complaining! It was so bad it was amusing. You have to learn to laugh at yourself, and trust me, I do a lot of laughing! This is meant to be a funny thread, not a negative one, so don't take me the wrong way!

It was very, very funny because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result! Well, wasn't riding those rides for seven hours expecting to pull that sword out the ultimate definition of insanity?!?

And yes, Grumpy, I bit their little ears off, and munched on their feets! I think the sugar rush kept me from going ballistic!

I join you in your amusement. I rode through almost all day yesterday on 2 titles...got a lot of magic (sometimes one right after the other), but each time I wasn't strong enough. Boo. But the thing that's getting me is this lag. I have not been able to play fireworks that much in the past couple of weeks. Is anyone else having this trouble? I also just increased my connection to the max, so I know it isn't my connection. I didn't have lag the majority of the time before this latest upgrade...is it just me?

I understand and feel your pain. Last week I felt my level of frustration (and laughter to ease the pain) increasing as I kept alternating between the castle fireworks score for the green car (my best is still 52 points short) and the rides for the tea cup pin.

After a break from the game for most of Easter Sunday I am back on the green car and tea party pin challenges. So, if anyone knows any good jokes, plz feel free to pm me.

Plz vmk, let me get this green car pin before you take the quest away.

And Dara and everyone else, I hope today find you the vmk items you have been trying to obtain.

- I have only won ONE sword pin so far and for the rides/host room - I crashed EACH time - never finished anything..

I'm right there with you, Dara. I've been riding my heart out for the chance,
and only the chance of completing a pin set.

None of my sword pins have been winners, even during the wacky prize
fiasco a couple of days ago. Then again, I believe I've pulled a green throne
from the bronze pirate chest only once. I nearly fell out of my chair when
that happened!

I never won Narnia teleporters.
I never won Sparrow.

I sense a theme continuing here in my personal quest for a silly pin.
Good thing I have a lot of credits to burn.

I had quite an excellent day.

Ran my second character right before bed for fun. I ended up winning host game and just for the heck of it, I put here through a ride.

1 magic sword pin.
1 tea party pin.

Hey Dara. I was on rides with you several times yesterday and I know what you're talking about. I can't say my day was as bad as yours, but I devoted 99% of my very limited VMK time yesterday to riding those rides in the hopes of getting a pin. I got 4 and couldn't pull the blasted sword out, either. Of course, that other 1% wasn't spent in a host game, so I didn't have all of the problems you had, but it was still very annoying. Sorry to hear you had the same problem.

Oh boy.. I understand what you mean on bad days ...you have to think its funny. I had one of those days on Sat! I couldn't win any not one of the host games on mine or my DH !!! I just couldn't believe it.

But then yesterday was a pretty good day... no I didn't get a tea party..even though I did manage to get 10 magic pins and not one was good! but I did manage to win at the host games.. so that made me feel better!

Oh and hey Grumpy that is a good idea of the chocolate bunnies... put me down for afew!! I am sure that is hhow Dara got thur with all that sugar!!
But it sure can be hard getting those pins...
