...in June of 2004, & get a savannah view, when should I book? I was thinking a year out. Is that too soon, too late, just right? What do you think? Thanks :teeth:

I think 6 months will be plenty of time. -HM

Hi.. AKL is a big resort and the majority or rooms offer savanna views... I don't think you would have to book a year out.

But you only have to give a depeot which is refundable if you cancel.. so why not - then you know you have it.

Have fun planning

JimmieJ,

I am not a procrastinator. I like to know that I'll get the room type I want and not have a problem. That's why I book so early. Usually 12-14 months in advance.

With AKL, I would go ahead. Seems I'm reading more and more about the increasing popularity of this resort. It's getting a lot of publicity in the travel circles. I wouldn't wait on this one.

I'd agree that six months should be plenty.

Keep in mind that discount codes (if any) won't usually come out until 3-4 months before any trip date. You could always book earlier and then watch for codes and if any apply, modify your reservation and use them.

I think I read in one of the guide books that close to 90% of AKL rooms are savannah view, so I wouldn't stress over that.

Good luck.
