If I want to reduce the number of people in our ADR...

We had four family members who we thought were going to come along for a bit and so we made four of our ADRs for seven people. Now with the cost of plane tickets and heat they're not sure they want to go.

Would it be easy to change the ADRs to three people with the same time? Or not? Because we'd be quite sad if we didn't get to go to four of the restaurants we would really looking forward to. :guilty:

Great queston! I was just coming over here to ask the same one. My mom who was going to go with us in October keeps wobbling on her decision.....so I may have 3 or I may have 4.....

You will be making new ADR's if you make any changes, so it is possible you won't get the same times or even be able to get the resturants you want. Call and ask about the availability but don't cancel what you have unless you can get what you want to replace them. If they can't make acceptable changes for you then leave the ADR's as they are and make the change when you check in at the resturant. Since you are having less people there really should be no problem, you may have to wait a bit longer for the table to fit your size. Now if you were going from 3 up to 7 then you would have a big problem! Good Luck.

Ive had that happen to me a few times, and I say as long as your loosing a person not gaining ppl than I would leave your ADR alone and when you arrive just let them know.. Ive never had to change a ressie because I had less than what I made the ressie for. I actually added a person to our party and didnt have to change and of my ADR this past week.. I called back the other day to check on my ADRs after reading on this board that you had to cancel and make new ones and was told that is not always the case and that my ADR were still on the days and times I had requested..

Going from 4 to 3 I would not even worry about it. Tables are designed for an even number of people and normally either 3 or 4 would be seated at a table for 4.

Going from 7 to 3 I would attempt to make new ADRs. If you can get what you want, then cancel the ones for 7. If you cannot get what you want do not cancel but when you get to the podium very apologetically tell them that 4 of the people could not make "that meal". You will be accomodated.

Yeah, they keep wobbling on whether or not they want to go.
Would I be able to make two ADRs for each meal, one for three people and one for seven and cancel the one that didn't apply? :confused3

What about meals like CRT and HDDR? Or the Fantasmic package? We have 7 going, but think there may be a chance that the other four will not go. Since I did all the ADR's on my Disney Visa, I am the one who will be charged if we don't all show up. For most of our ADR's we are at two tables and they will try to seat us together.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have up to 48 hours to cancel, so if you're out 50 hours and they're still wobbling, I would just cancel for the 4 who are not sure about coming and let them know you are going to do that, maybe you'll get a definite answer if they know you have to cancel since you'll be charged. ;)
