If I select the 7-day advance WL option...

and that option requires 40 additional points (Kidani Standard View vs. Savannah View) and that 7-day window falls after my point banking deadline, what happens?

Do I not bank those points to begin with?

If my window does not come through, do I lose those points?

Any thoughts on doing the 7-day window vs. 30-day?

If your WL does not come through and you did not bank the points they will be lost.
If you bank them and your WL comes through they will borrow 40 points from your next UY points.

If your wait list has not come through by your banking deadline, then yes, bank them so that you don't lose them.

As PP mentioned, they will then borrow to fulfill the wait list. If you are okay with this, I would double check to make sure that MS knows you understand they can do that.
