If I say it out loud, will my wish come true.. PTR May 2011(Link to TR pg41)

Your daughter is absolutely adorable! I love the pictures of her with Cinderella, and the one of her with Eeyore at CP. Your plans sound really good, I cannot wait to hear more about it! That's cool that you'll get to catch the tail end of F&G festival, I'm sad I'll be missing it by a few days :(

Thank you!

I'm excited to see the F & G Festival this year. We missed it by a week last year but they still had most of the topiaries out. We'll get to check it out for a few hours at least.

We've not been to the Studios since 2004 (we just aren't into the thrill roller coasters anymore), but we LOVE Men and Black and ET will hold a special place in our hearts. You'll have a great time.

Glad to hear good things MIB and ET. I never hear them mentioned. As much as I love Disney I enjoy our time at IOA and US since I go with the flow there more I guess. No real planning or disappointment if we miss something.

Your plans look like such fun! BTW I have been looking for a DISMEEET & along with a few others looks like there will be one on 5/15 at 1 pm in the UK at Epcot. I think that's your AK day but thought I'd tell you just in case!

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, it is our AK day but who knows where we will actually end up that day.:rotfl:

All your plans look good, but the last I heard is Rip Ride Rocket was closed indefinedly. It was closed when we went in late January. Something about the safety of it, it does feel like on the way up that you're gonna slide out of your chair!! I didn't like that feeling, and haven't been on it since! Love the Mummy, Twister was just eh. Simpsons beats the crap out of you, it's VERY bumpy, and MIB is a favorite of ours. I think I'm gonna go over on May 13th to IOA with Tyler's 6th grade class as a chaperone, I just love the new HP area of that park!!

You're back! You've been MIA for awhile.

I had no idea RRR was closed. Bummer! It looked scary but fantastic at the same time.

A class trip to IOA sounds awesome! Lucky Tyler (and you):thumbsup2

Boy am I behind! Your plans for Animal Kingdom look good! I find that we just rank what we wantt o do most at that park. It seems like I make detailed stratagies for all of the other parks and when it comes to AK we say #1 Kilimanjaro, #2 Expedition Everest and continue ranking from there. When we are tired we leave.

I have never been to US or IOA but that coaster going straight up is :scared1: to me!! :lmao:

Yea, been MIA for a bit, gotta take pictures of the beach towels and finish up my ptr! Haven't been over there in forever either!! LOL I'm ok, just busy, and now I got the flu! That's slowed me down enough to be able to pop back on, go figure! LOL

I think I'll follow your AK plans. Rank maybe our top few and go from there. We usually leave when we are too hot or tired. I am hoping to make it a bit longer this year but we never really make it past early afternoon. I would like to see the parade on year but it doesn't seem like that will happen.

Nothing like being sick to get you back on the Dis. Hope you feel better soon!

I haven't done Universal in YEARS (last time was in 2005) and looking at your plans made me wish we were going back. Maybe next time... As far as I remember ET used to be one of my favorite rides. It always gave me the goose bumps but apparently there are a lot of new stuff I haven't seen before.

I am sure you guys will have a great day!

I've heard US is pretty good at keep rides pretty current so there probably is a bunch of stuff you haven't seen. Beatriz is still small though, so you have plenty of time to get over there.

I can't believe I have never been on the ET ride. It seems like it is one of the classics. I'll have to change that this trip.

Hi Diane!

Just wanted to throw in my opinion, if I were you I wouldn't do IOA on a weekend, I think you'll get mobbed by the weekend crowds. A Tuesday or Thursday is probably a safer bet if the kids in Florida are still in school.

After a massive internal debate and much discussion with the kiddo, we cancelled the Beach Club and are going back to stay at the Polynesian. Its saving me a couple hundred dollars to stay Garden View there. I was doing some research and there must be a convention going on during our week because all of the Epcot resorts are booked full for that time frame, including the Swan/Dolphin. All you can get is Boardwalk Villas. I was afraid of SAB being mobbed and having long waits at the boat docks. We loved the Poly so much it just seems like a better fit, and it was wide open, even with our military discount. It makes me even more glad I hung on to our Ohana reservation, LOL.

I can't believe you are staying at the Poly again. That is awesome, plus it will save you money! I dream of staying at the Poly but the prices are way too much unless you can get 40% off or 4/3 deal. The best I could have gotten was the 30% off and with that the Poly would have still be almost twice as much as where we are staying now. I think I'll have to do a split stay with Pop and Poly one day to afford it.

I am bummed we have no chance of running into you at SAB but maybe we'll see you around the Poly. We still have Ohana and I am still trying to squeeze in Kona for breakfast.

:banana::banana:We are getting closer. Isn't your final payment due soon? That means the trip is almost here.

It's April!!!! That means I can finally say-

We're going to WDW next month

It's about time!

Today brings us to our DHS day.

I did not know the dates of SWW when I first planned our weekend and don't think I would have picked the very first day of SWW and the opening of Star Tours if I had the choice, but there's not much I can do about it now.

I am expecting DHS to be packed. SWW is busy anyway and I think there will be a lot of SW fans there on the first day to ride the new Star Tours. I am not expecting much, just a go with the flow day. Caitlin doesn't seem as interested in meeting the characters as she was last year so hopefully we won't have to wait in those lines. I would at least like to see Chewy and Darth Vader.

We will have a snack for breakfast and head to DHS early, before rope drop.

Depending on whether or not Caitlin wants to see the characters we will either head to TSM
tsm.jpg

OR
if she decided she wants to see the characters we will head to the character lines. I know Darth Vader's line gets long so maybe check him out first

Caitlin finally saw Honey, I shrunk the kids this year so I think she will like to check out the play area.

My #1 do for DHS this year is to see the Beauty and the Beast Show.

We will try to stake out a good spot for the parade EARLY. Last year we got there late and there was nowhere to sit and it was so hot. How early should we stake our spot?

After the parade we'll have lunch at Sci-Fi.
scifi.jpg

At this point we will probably head back to the hotel for a swim/ rest.

After our rest we'll head back to DHS for dinner.

We have an early dinner at Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic Package
mama.jpg

After dinner we'll just wander around until Hyperspace Hoopla
hyperspacehoola.jpg

Then, it will be almost time for Fantasmic

Even with the large crowds I expect I am just really excited about this day. It looks like it will be a lot of fun, plus I love Sci Fi and Mama Melrose. Add in a cupcake from Starring Rolls and maybe some Disney popcorn during Fantasmic and I am good.

Our days sounds very similar. I plan on getting my spot for the parade about an hour ahead of time then one of us will go and fetch snacks to enjoy while we wait.

Your DHS day sounds great! That's smart to plan a "see what the day" brings kind of day. I'm sure it will be crowded, but you guys will have an awesome time!

I am so excited about trying a cupcake from Starring Rolls! I' sure it won't take much for me to convince Johnny to split one with me (they look huge!). Awwww... I can't wait!!:hyper:

Yay, I was thinking that today - I can say we are going to Disney NEXT month!

Your SW/DHS Plans sound great - I don't know that much about SWW, since we avoided it when were there in June, and plan on avoiding it this time. DH did say maybe we should check out the Star Tours ride on our HS day, we've never done it before.

Sounds great to me!! Those are our exact dining plans for our DHS day! Instead of popcorn at Fantasmic!, I'm going to have a pretzel, though:thumbsup2!

I was thinking an hour sounded good. I can send DH off for some snacks to pass the time. popcorn::

I never know how to plan for DHS. Caitlin is too short for the roller coaster and didn't like TOT. Those are my two favorites so since those are out I don't really care what we do at DHS. Plus, the layout kind of annoys me so we just go with the flow.

I tried the choc/ peanut butter cupcake last year and it was okay. I can't decide if I want to get the red velvet or the butterfinger one this year. DH and DD don't really like cupcakes so I have no one to share with. I am stuck with the whole giant thing all by myself.

Doesn't it sound so much closer? Today brings our trip to the 6 week mark.

I wasn't really a big SW fan, but DH really wanted to go to SWW last year. I ended up really liking it. It adds something extra to DHS. You should try Star Tours, it looks like it will be pretty cool.

Only on the DIS can you find someone who knows what they are getting months in advance at a certain time/place. That is what I love about these boards. If I told DH that on May 20, at 11:45 I will be eating a cheeseburger, oreo milkshake and onion rings he would insist I have some serious issues. At least I'm not alone:hug:

Weight Watchers Weigh In

Week 1 -2.2
Week 2 -.8

Today was my second weigh in since recommitting to WW. It has been going very well. I’m happy with the weight I lost but really I am more concerned with being more active and just eating healthier. I’ve been walking/ jogging almost every other day. I’ve been doing between 3.5-5.5 miles and trying to increase the jogging portions.

Earlier this week I set out to do 4 miles, but when I got to the road to turn that makes me loop back around it was blocked by a huge clock of wild turkeys. There are woods on each side of the road and there were turkeys on both sides of the road, plus a stream of them crossing the road. Rather than mess with them I just keep going. Once I got home I logged my route and it was 5.5 miles. I have to say that once I finished I felt great. Earlier this year I started jogging on my treadmill b/c I hated being out on the road. I was too worried about who might see me huffing and puffing with my flab jiggling, but I have to say I just don’t care anymore. I just feel too good at the end of my walk to care what people who drive by think.

Also with the latest weigh in I have reached a pretty big milestone for me. Based on my BMI, I am now back to normal weight. I have not been “normal” weight since I became pregnant with Caitlin. I have been close at times but I just haven’t gotten there. I still need to lose more so that I am not a slice of pizza away from being overweight though.

I have also been tracking measurements in case I don’t see a loss on week. For some reason when I lose weight the roll around my midsection is the last to budge. Today I measured and I lost an inch off my waist. This also brings me down past the waist measurement that they recommend to stay under to avoid all types of health issues.

I have to say that I feel great and have much more energy. DH is impressed and when he came home yesterday to find me on the floor doing sit ups, he asked me what is motivating me. Honestly, I don’t even know. It started just wanting to lose some weight for Disney, but now I don’t really know. I guess I just realize it has taken me 6 years to get back to where I was before I had Caitlin. I am almost 29 and hope to have another kid or 2 in the next few years. After that I doubt I will have the time, energy or drive to do this all over again. I guess I just want to enjoy being young(er) and normal weight while I can.

I also hope to get pregnant sometime this year and I figure the healthier I go into it, the better it will go. Also, if I go into it walking 15 miles a week it will be much easier to stay active during pregnancy.

Wow.. I really rambled away, didn’t I?
Guess I’m a bit excited. I called DH when I weighed myself. “Guess what I weigh… I’m normal weight.. How does it feel not having an overweight wife?”
“Um, good I guess?”

Caitlin also had a big day yesterday.

She got her gold belt in karate. (You start with white, next is gold)
003.jpg

Last night was also the Father/Daughter dance at her school. DH and DD received the award for best dancers. They love to practice dancing and DH spins and throws Caitlin all over the place. I guess all the practice paid off.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
