I was thinking of ordering my AP's early this year from the disney website. Do I get vouchers or actual AP's??? and when is the expiration? 1 year from date of purchase or activation?

I thought it was from date of purchase but not sure lately:confused:

thanks:smooth:

You will get a voucher and it will be active once you activate it at the park. Smart thing to buy it early in case prices go up again.

Not sure about the vouchers, but I believe with first time purchase of APs the start
date is with activation. Expiration will be
1 year (actually 1 year + 1 day) from first date of use and renewal, if you opt to do so will take effect immediately.

I am confused. We have been buying AP's for 10 years. A while back you could renew your AP but it would not "start" until the first day you used it. Then there was a change where the expiration was from the date you bought it.

so I guess it has changed again. I think I will have to call Disney tomorrow.

thanks

Disney-Kim,
I ordered my APs from the Disney website and received a set of yellow cards (vouchers) this past week. They say something like exchange coupons on them. They are not active until you go to Guest Services at a WDW park to activate them. They are good for one year from the activation date, not the purchase date.

With renewal, the new AP starts from where the old AP left off. So, under WDW's current policy, the renewed AP starts when the old AP expires.
