DH and I are going to be in WDW for 2weeks in May and we have free QDP, we thought about upgrading but we think we'd struggle with having lots of ADRs and planning around them as although we do plan (or should I say I plan!) in advance we like to be flexible especially as it's just me and him.
However, I would like to book 1 evening meal in advance. It could be anywhere within WDW resorts or parks.
Our only provisos are that DH is not fond of east asian food and we'd be looking spend a max of say $30 each for our main courses, as a guide.

I look forward to hearing your ideas!

That's a pretty vague question. We would need more information than that to help due to the variety at Disney. Do you want a buffet? Character meal? In a park? Out of a park?

Also, if you plan on spending 2 weeks in May, you'll have no problem having a TS meal every day without worry that your going to miss something. 2 weeks is a lot of time durring a lower crowd time of year. That's just my opinion.

Biergarten :thumbsup2 . For me, that is a must do. It may be a little more than $30 pp. Great food, awesome surroundings, good entertainment, and beer!

I'd go for resort dining: maybe Kouzinna or Citricos or Narcoossee's...

I think all buffets are disqualified because of the excessive price $36 - $40. Kona has some great options less than $30.00, and I like location. Olivias has some good options too.

Super, thank you for the ideas!
A buffet at higher than $30 would be fine as we wouldnt have to factor in 2 additional courses so I guess a total food spend for the both of us we'd want about $100-$120.

I take on board the comments about being a bit vague, I think I'll have to do some more research to narrow it down abit then come back when I have perhaps just a short list of contenders.

We decided on 2 weeks as it's a long way to come from the UK especially with such high flight prices and fuel tax here so we cannot guarantee another trip as far as the US again for quite a while. We'll be going to NYC and Washington before WDW so we'll be happy to relax a bit when we get there but also cramming as much in as possible inc Universal and NASA trips!

Biergarten does sound like it needs more investigation though for sure! :)

also Kona and Kouzzina

Il Mulino................only TS we have scheduled during our 7 days of F&W.

I feel for you. We are having trouble narrowing it down to 7. Our must do's are 50's Prime Time Cafe, Ohana, Teppan Edo, Brown Derby, Boma, Cape May Cafe & Tony's (don't ask me why, it's just a last night tradition). Since Ohana and Teppan are Asian, you probably won't want those but you can't go wrong with Brown Derby or Cape May Cafe.
