If I lose my room key, is it easy ti acquire another one. because you do need it for EMH, right?

If you lose your key, just go to the front desk. They will ask to see your ID, cancel the lost key out of the computer system so that nobody can use it to charge things or get into EMH or anything else, and issue you a new key.

It helps to take the room keys you DO have (or their numbers) with you when you go down to the front desk - that way they know exactly which key is missing and should be cancelled out....

This reminds me of something that happened to me when I was at a conference in Chicago. While I was at the meeting, the computer for the hotel went down, and when I went to my room, the key didn't work. I didn't bring my wallet with me to the meeting--just my room key and the books for the conference. I am lucky they let me back in my room!

We were given someone else's room key upon check-in, in addition to our own. I called front desk as soon as I realized it. Since it has charging priveleges, be sure to let the front desk know immediately so that nobody can use your lost key.

I left my key in the room during my November trip and had to call the desk to have somebody come unlock my door, at 11pm. When the person arrived I found out that my name was not on the registration. Eventhough I had been in the room for four days, the computer system at Disney did not show me registered. It took twenty minutes to confirm that I was supposed to be in that room: I was not allowed in until security checked out the whole room, checked my wallet (which was in the room), I had answered twenty questions about what was in the room included describing clothes hanging in the closet area. I should be glad that Disneyworld has great security ensuring that unauthorized people do not get in the rooms, however I paid for the room on my credit card, the name on the reservation had nothing to do with me, my family nor my travelling companions. The next morning I had to go to the front desk and have the computer updated to show me as being registered.
By the way, I was booked into the resort by a "Trainee", next time I will know to get a fully trained CM when I register.
