If I handed you a SLIDE RULE and a math problem, would you be able to solve it?

I wish I could find my father's slide rule - I used to play with it a lot when I was little. I remember him showing me how to do simple math on it.

I'm not sure I could use it today.

I had to learn to use one in my first year of high school because we weren't allowed to use calculators. However, that was the last time I used one and no, I wouldn't be able to use one again. Thank the gods I studied social sciences instead.

My dad was an engineer and up until retirement he still used one. I don't think he knew how to use a scientific calculator to tell you the truth.
