I would pay off my bills, have plastic surgery and get my and my dh's teeth fixed with movie star veneers ( Iknow its a little vain but I can dream right?), buy a vacation spot in SC or FL, get new cars, then I would see what was left over and buy some big toys like a boat and a camper. then invest the rest for my childrens future inheritance.

I would use about $400,000 to buy/build the condo we recently had to cancel & furniture for it. It was to be a ranch style condo with walkout basement so my parents could live on the main floor (1500 sq ft) & we could live in the basement level (another 1500 sq ft). And we would have the main level later so I wouldn't have to deal with stairs like we do now. (sigh)

I would like DH to quit his jobs, or at least greatly reduce his hours.

Take an Alaskan cruise.

Put the remainder into investments to live on -- put at the same level we live on now...not lavishly & blowing it.
