I heard that POR barely had any FDing rooms this year. I am thinking I should have a back up Resort in mind just in case... any ideas? It will be me, hubby and 2 girls ages 9 and 6

Check POFQ, because they are sister resorts, and you could use all the perks over at POR as well.

CSR is a beautiful resort if you like the southwest theme. Bus service is amazing, and everyone says it has the best pool slide. I stayed there in Feb 2012 but didn't like the theming but the grounds were beautiful and the pool looked awesome! It may be fun for both you & your kids.

POFQ doesn't usually participate in the free dining offers I don't think so that may not be an option for you.

Are you looking for this Fall? I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I've read that basically all free dining rooms in all the moderate resorts are gone. If you're flexible about dates, I'd call Disney directly and see if they can let you know what dates (if any) are still available for the promotion.

We ended up switching to Wilderness Lodge with free dining for basically the same price as rack rate at POR (with dining plan). We didn't want to stay at POR with no discount knowing there were ones to be had.
