I'm hoping to get a dinner ADR for Crystal Palace for dinner on our MK day, we've never eaten there. If I can't eat there, would you leave the park and try Ohana, Kona, The Wave? Or some other recommendation....:confused3 We already have an ADR for Chef Mickey.

I'm trying to get my options ready for when my 90 day mark hits in the beginning of Jan.

TIA

We love The Kona Cafe. The food is so good there. It really isn't hard or too time consuming to leave the MK and hop on the monorail to go there.

We went to Whispering on our last night of our trip in Sept. the MK was closing early for MNSSHP so we needed something to eat that was fun. It was great and the food was delicious. The Canyon skillet I loved and dessert was yummy too.:yay:

If you are on the dining plan and would like a change of pace from all the "heavy" meals you'll be eating, we would highly recommend the Plaza Restaurant. It is only soups, salads and sandwiches, but they are very good and huge portions, and the shakes and desserts are heavenly.

i wouldn't leave the park unless I wasn't planning on going back. Plan on at least 30 minutes to an hour to make it to a MK resort, then the meal and same amount of time back. (actual travel time is less, but if you miss the monorail/boat and have to wait for the next, will take extra time. )

I would stick to an inpark option if you are planning on staying. Everone is different and some like the adventure. :)

Thanks for the ideas.

We really would like to stay in the MK for dinner, but without characters, LTT's menu really isn't all that appealing.

Any in park favorite table service meals? They seen to get mixed reviews.

Since you want to stay in MK, how about The Plaza Restaurant? IMO, it is one of Disney's hidden gems. It is a small table service restaurant off of Main St. It is delicious! We have eaten there for the past few trips, and will eat there on our upcoming trip! Check out allears.net for menus.

Thanks---I'll check out allears for the menus. Does the Plaza take ADRs?

Here's pictures of our meals from September (it is one of our must do's every trip):

I wouldn't waste my time on CP. We've eaten there twice and the food was bad and the service was even worse.

I dont think you will have a problem making a ressie. We planned our last trip with two weeks notice and were able to make this ressie with no problems they still had a few seatings avaliable. We are planning for our second MK day to have dinner at Ohanas, or maybe Chef Mickeys I forgot now.

We ate at CM in September and I was not all that pleased. The character interaction was great, but the food mediocre for sure. If I had not bee on free dining I would have been really disappointed. I agree with some of the other posts, if you want to enjoy MK at night, try to stay in the park and eat. Good luck!
