If I make a reservation for AKV 11 mos out for next Aug but we decide not to go in the spring.. when do I have to use those points for. They will be 2012 pts with a user year of December so yes Ill be borrowing.

Points borrowed from your December, 2012 Use Year will need to be used by November 30, 2012 - as long as the reservation is cancelled 31 days or more before arrival. Otherwise they will also be Holding Account points needing to be used within 60 days of calling for the reservation (and they still need to be used by 11/30/12). They can't be returned to your 2012 Use Year.

Banking and Borrowing are final transactions. Once the points are moved from one UY into another, they can not be returned to their original UY.

That's correct.

Points in your 2011 Use Year are good for travel from 12/1/11 thru 11/30/12. If you borrow points from your December, 2012 Use Year into your 2011 Use Year, they still need to be used by 11/30/11 or they will expire since they cannot be returned to your 2012 Use Year.
