If I buy a small contract, can it be combined with my current points?

We own 150 points and would maybe like to buy a small amount of points (30 or so). If I find a points in the same resort with the same month (Dec), would I have to make 2 seperate reservations when I make a reservation and if I sell them in the future, could I sell all 180 together instead of 150 and 30?

Thanks!

If you add on the additional points thru DVC, it will be combined with your original Master Contract and points from both contracts may be used seamlessly for reservations.

If you purchase a resale contract with the same Home Resort and Use Year, DVC may recognize that (if all names are the same on the deed) and combine the contracts, but that will not happen automatically in all cases. If you end up with two separate contracts this way, you could still use points from both contracts for reservations, but would need to reserve whole nights with one or the other and link them all together. You could also transfer points from one contract to the other once per Use Year.

In either situation, you could sell one contract independent ot the other.

We've combined three small contracts (Timeshare Store), in the same months and it's worked wonderfully! As a matter of fact, we just closed on a 30 point contract. We usually look for the 50 points or so. Use year is always a determining factor for us. Financially, we're not wealthy so it helps to get one paid off and then look for another. Each time we thought we had enough points...and then we get sucked in again:goodvibes

When making reservations, it's never been a problem to combine the contracts.
