If I bought DVC through resale, will I automatically get my membership card?

Just bought a small contract. Will I get anything packet from DVC and my membership card soon after closing on the sale?

Yes, DVC will send member information and membership card. It may take awhile (several weeks) after closing, so be patient.

We got into the system on Oct. 5th and got our members package within a week and just got our member cards today Oct. 17th.

It took just about 6 weeks after closing to receive our membership cards.

We purchased through Disney, and it took about a week to 10 days after closing to receive our permanent DVC cards. The temporaries were sent about a week after signing the contract, too.

As you can tell from the responses to OP's question, it varies a lot, for no particular reason.
