If I book a package with AAA with the QSDP, can I upgrade to free dining if it is offered?

If the package is available for the dates and resort you want then you can switch from the AAA rate to a different rate. I haven't tried it with free dining but did do it with the 4/3 deal.

Word to the wise - even tho you have your resort reservation DON'T wait to switch to FD if it comes out call first thing. I waited a couple of days and then couldn't get the resort I wanted and it did end up costing me more money. (I had switched from POR but I got YC for a couple hundred more instead of $1600 more so I can't complain)

Last April I booked our Thanksgiving trip with AAA for Pop. I didn't do the tickets at that time because I was thinking I would order them from Undercover Tourist. In early June they came out with a Free Dining pin that just barely overlapped with our travel dates. I called AAA and she said she'd take care of it. I just gave her the pin and she rebooked the reservation, of course you have to add on the park tickets in order to get the free dining. I didn't mind paying a few extra bucks for the tickets to save $700 on food!

I believe she said she had to create a new reservation with the pin number and then she canceled my original one. It did show up on my credit card as a $200 refund and then a new $200 charge. Silly how that works.
