If I add on direct points...

Hi, I'm thinking of adding on 25 pts. I currently have a 150 pt OKW direct contract. This means I will have 2 separate contracts- one 150 pts and one 25 pts right? Also, with an Oct use year, would I just get the 2023 points or might I also get the 2022 points? Thanks!

If you add on before Oct 1st you would be eligible for 2022 UY points

If you are buying a sold out resort, there is always a chance they don’t have them in stock to sell you…but if you are doing one in active sales, it won’t be problem.

Just be aware that RIV and CCV have a minimum of 50 points.

To clarify, you will have two separate contracts no matter what. But if those contracts are in the same UY and titled the same (same owners) you will have only one membership. If those contracts have different UY or different owners, you will have two memberships.

It’s often easy, reading these boards, to get contracts and memberships confused, but in using your points it’s important to recognize the distinction.

We squeaked it by buying the then-minimum direct 100 pts in early January on a Feb UY, getting the "double points."

Whereupon we made a mistake that DVD ultimately loved, I'm sure: Using most of those points on a 1br stay. Which made the following year's studio seem like Motel 6 compared with the Hyatt. That in turn led us to add 25 direct, same UY. Two contracts, single membership.

Yeah, it is a bit confusing, but we found it helped to think of the two as a primary residence and a vacation cabin. One home smaller than the other, but we own both.
