Quick question... We are Disney Visa card members and have a package booked and fully paid for already for December... If free dining is released to Disney Visa holders first, will we be able to take advantage of it, or is there a requirement that you pay a certain amount of the package with your Visa?

You have to put $200 on the DV, but I don't expect us to get the FD deal early. We didn't last year. Just the Aug/Sept deal came to DV holder early last year, and we got it early this year, too.

I'm curious about this FD offer for DV members? I used my DV to pay for my Sep 22-30 trip and did not receive this offer. Is there a trick to these offers and pins that I'm reading about?

I got the free dining deal iln 08 that was only released to DV members. Since I had already paid my down payment when the deal came out, they just wen ahead and applied the deal for me. I have no idea how they'd do it now. But based on recent experiences, I'd say the odds of a DV offer first aren't high.

Got my answer!
Was just able to add FD at POFQ even though my reservation was paid in full!!!

A follow up, for those of you that get/got the free dining on a previously booked trip did you have to buy any tickets? We're going in November but we have non--expiring tickets from 4 years ago and don't need new ones.

FD requires you to pay rack rate for your room AND a minimum of a 2 day base ticket for everyone on the reservation ages 3 and up. No exceptions, but you can save the tickets for a future trip.

Thanks! We're already reserved at the rack rate. I did some digging and I think I saw on Dreams Unlimited that it required a 7 day ticket which I've never heard of before. But somewhere else today I saw the 2 day ticket requirement.

If we're already booked a split stay would that make it more complicated? I don't want 7 days of tickets if that is, in fact, true. I doubt we'll be back for 4-5 years at least. That seems to be our magic number of years between visits.

If you wanted to do free dining for both resorts in your split stay then you would have to buy tickets for BOTH resort stays. If I were you, I would hold out for the chance of a good room code. I think they are supposed to come out in the next 2-3 weeks.

If I applied and qualified for a Disney Visa today, would I get some kind of confirmation # to use today for free dining? I have already paid deposit with another card. Maybe I should just wait until Thursday.

No, you would have to have the card in hand to book the deal. Thursday will be here soon. :goodvibes

Booked free dining today with Disney visa. We are booked 11/15-11/23 at Pop Century and I upgraded to TS dining. So excited!

The free dining is available now for disney visa card holders. "Book now before it becomes available to general public on 7/12/12":thumbsup2

Thank you smitch425. I will try to be patient. I need to stop reading all the post for DV FD:rotfl:

That's what I figured. I'll wait and see.

I asked the question on here earlier regarding a minimum night clause for FD, and got the 3 night response. However, my Disney TA just told me that it really is a 6 night/ 7 day requirement this time around. I really, really hope she is wrong! We are only able to go for 4 nights/5 days in December.

The TA is mistaken. People have confirmed booking 3 night FD stays all day. :thumbsup2
