We are still on the fence in making a decision to visit WDW this year and actually leaning towards simply waiting until 2010. At this point even if FREE DINING is offered I don't think that will be enough to entice us to go. However if more of an incentive is offered (FREE DINING + Gift Card) we would have to rethink waiting.

So what do you think? Is FREE DINING going to be enough for you to visit WDW later this year? And if not, would an additional incentive change your mind? What kind of incentive?

I just double checked and it's not offered to the general public yet (nor Disney VISA cardholders). However some people have received Pin Codes for free dining but I'm not one of them.

Yes, that's where I saw it...I knew I wasn't crazy (well, not THAT crazy anyway). :goodvibes

Nevertheless, I think its safe to say that will open up to everyone soon enough.

I have the cash ready, I'm just waiting for the announcement before I jump on it. Last time I was at Disney was 2005. I am so excited.

It'll depend on the specific dates of the offer. We're already planning one definite trip for May and one tentative trip for Dec. It isn't a sure thing at all that free dining would be enough to convince us to reschedule Dec or book a 3rd trip, but if it covers DD's birthday (last year it started 2 days too late!) it would be VERY tempting...

We've already booked a free dining bounceback for late September. I'm super excited because it coincides with the Food and Wine Festival.popcorn:: popcorn::

Where do you get the pin codes for discounts? I have a Disney Visa (never get emails, even though I've tried to sign up for that) and we are going soon. Will we be offered a 40% bounceback? Can it be used during free dining?? The problem with when they offer free dining is hurricane season, right?? Plus, all of the kids have just gone back to school. May be a hard time to pull them out to go.

The Pin Codes will come direct from Disney and are sent randomly. Each code is unique to the individual so they cannot be shared. The Disney Visa promotion is different in that everyone with the card can signup for free dining before the general public. Just keep an eye on these boards as I'm sure the information will be posted once/if it's available.

As for the 40% code and free dining, they cannot be combined and you have to choose one or the other. And yes, free dining is usually offered for travel during hurricane season.

Although I'm not sure I can swing hotel and airfare so it might be moot. But I really want to go for F&W....

Maybe if they do a free dining offer, I can convince my DH we should spend a few days at WDW before our DCL cruise in September!

The answer to the question, for us, is most likely not.

We are disney visa card holders. We dont get pin numbers or announcements. How do I get those??

You will probably want to call the credit card company (Chase) and ask why you're not receiving the emails. I had a similar problem a few years back before realizing that the email address I provided to Chase was one I no longer used...thus I never received the messages.

I have made sure my email was right, but can't find the place on the website to make sure I"m receiving all of their emails. Maybe I'll call them. Don't want to miss out on any discounts. I don't know how soon we'll go again....but a big discount would help my cause with the DH!

Me and My hubby have been tossing around the idea of going when there is free dining. But with the economy the way it is, it seems like such a big gamble. We shall see what we decide when they actually come out with the deal.

Ditto here! I am going to WDW with the buy four get three free offer in May for the Flower Festival and already have the bounceback offer for free dining I got when we were there last Sept, so will be there Sept 26th-Oct 4th for free dining again. Those two trips are already completely planned and paid off. All I have to do is call for the ADRS for the Sept trip. Now I am planning my Christmas Dec trip.:rotfl:

I voted no, there is no incentive that could bring me to Disney this year. We simply can't afford it. We have a trip planned for next year and skipping a year will not permanently scar our kids.

We haven't been to Disney since summer of 2006. If they extend the 4/3 deal, send me a 40% off code or offer free dining with a gift card then we'll be back. And, in case any of the code fairies are reading this, we now have an extra princess to bring along who will help stimulate the economy with the purchase of anything Cinderella.
