If Driving what do you do on the way?

We have never driven to Disney with a baby so I am sure that thsi trip will be different. It takes us about 10hrs to drive. We have never stopped other than gas and drive thru. We bought games from Cracker BArrell to help pass the time in the car like car tag bingo, road signs,... Of course we have the DVD player and stuff like that.

Oh, I don't know. After 7 days in the park, a few days at the beach would be great. Rest up before you go back to work.
;) That's our thoughts exactly. DH and I joke that WDW is the kind of vacation you need a vacation from when you are done! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Disney, but we are all wiped out when we leave to come home!

This last trip down we stopped at Rock City right near Chatanooga. It was a blast. The kids absolutely loved it and it was an awesome chance to get out of the car and get some excellent excercise. We ended up being there for about 2.5 hours so didn't stop anywhere else big. We tried to hit a couple of Pecan stands in GA but one was closed and the other was just a big gift shop.

On the way home, we are driving during the night anywhere you might want to stop and then it just gets too dang cold as you get further north.

We drive from Harrisburg Pa area. We leave at about 5:15 at night. Drive straight thru. We usually get dinner in Va. and then make stops for gas and bathroom breaks and pull off at the rest area and get 1-2 hrs of sleep at a rest area. We get to WDW at about 10am.

To our family part of going to WDW is our drive down and back. I am curious what places you go when driving to WDW. We are driving down from Michigan and will be stopping at the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory, The Chattanooga Aquarium, Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel, Chattanooga Train Museum, and some caverns. We will also see signs along the way and as long as it won't derail our agenda too much we will stop at sights on the way that we hadn't planned. pirate:

How about you what are some good places you have found along the way? pixiedust:

You will be coming through my stomping grounds in Chattanooga. Are you staying at the Chattanooga Choo- Choo? I was gonna say you could go to the READ HOUSE it is said to be HAUNTED!!!!! :scared: That would be a night of fun..LOL The aquarium is pretty good, and Rock City and Ruby Falls. I have never been to the train museum so I cannot tell you about it.
If you have kids there is a place close to the aquarium called the Creative Discovery Museum. It is a HANDS ON type museum for the kids they really love this place. Also real close if you wanna have a family picnic or something there is a park called Coolidge Park it is VERY NICE it is one the river and there are water fountains for the kids to play in and a indoor carousel (costs like .50) per ride. Well have fun in Chattanooga!!!!
