If Disney rooms are sold out, do TA's have any?

We're booked at the Beach Club for the first week in Dec. and would like to switch to the Yacht club. Disney reservations says it is sold out. Is it worth checking to see if any travel agents or AAA have blocks of rooms available in a situation like this?

You could try, but personally I would quit while you're ahead. Yes, there are some subtle differences, but both offer the "location" to EC and MGM. Not to mention SAB and the many other benefits of an EC resort! We'll see you down there on 12/3 !!

AAA may have some. Try travelocity and expedia. Or just keep calling back to WDW and hope that someone cancelled their reservations.

Start checking with Disney about 50 days out. 45 days out is when you have to cancel to get your deposit back, so I would expect some rooms to open up about 46-47 days before you go.

That being said, remember that you would loose any ADR's you have by changing. they're tied to the room ressie.

I had to cancel a room ressie today and I called back this evening to make SURE my ADRs were still there. All good!

Have you tried going day-by-day? By that I mean, check to see if some of your dates available. And then go from there. If some of your days are available, you could book them, and then check every SINGLE day to see if the others come available.

The problem with the Disney system is that if you're looking for 7 days and there are actually 6 days that a room would be available, they will tell you it's sold out. But if you can get the TA to go on a day-by-day basis, you may get lucky. I've done this in the past myself and finally got the resort and dates I wanted.

I agree with the previous post. If you're flexible with dates, try one day before or after. Normally if a regular room rate is sold out, so is the AAA rate. And try 45 days out as well as 30 days out too...I can't count how many times I've canceled reservations for clients then too...
Also if you're currently on a package with Disney, you won't get charged change fee's if your reservation increases in price, so consider dropping a days worth of tickets, then adding the day back on a few days before you go to see if a room opens up then too...

There are times when Disney reservationists say they are sold out, but a TA is able to get a room for you through the online Travel Agent Only site. Disney puts a specific number of rooms on there just for TAs.
