if discounts come out are you saving the $ or upgrading?

We're booked at POFQ and that won't change with a code. (I just booked our room this past Saturday for May 11-16.) We've got the AAA rate there, so atleast we know we get something off rack. But we are hoping for a nice AP rate!!

Considering that we've never stayed in a moderate, we've already upgraded by booking POFQ. If we get a code, then we'll take the savings! More Mickey Bars, Dole Whips, and souvenirs for us!

We are booked poly GVC with AAA rate. If I get a code, would just save the money but my total dream would be to do CR Concierge 14th floor.

has anyone ever been able to upgrade to that with a code?

I'll stick with the Poly for our 2nd half of our trip . . .discounts for that time period would be nice, but I wouldn't upgrade to a lagoon view or conceirge, I'd just save the money.

When we got discounts for our first half of our trip at Beach Club, I didn't upgrade from a standard view. I just saved the money . . .more money to spend at the parks.

Right now we have the swan from april 24-May 1. Only 3 of those nights are govt. more towards the end of the trip. I have already discussed it with dh that if ap rates come out, we will try to get either garden view at poly or wing room at contemporary, we have stayed at both of those before too. Money wise, it will probably come out just a little more or even. Might even do a split stay if the price is comparable and just do swan at the end for 3 out of 4 govt. disc. nights.

If WL comes out with rates similar to my present AAA at POR, and if they have the same dates, we'll try to move up. If they only have some of the days, though, we'll stay put. After having to repack all of the STUFF we took in November, I couldn't handle a mid vacation move between resorts.

If good codes come out, we'll upgrade from off-site to either POR with a trundle or 2 rooms at one of the values.

I almost wish I hadn't gotten such a good deal at the Marriott. I got 9 nights for $468 total including tax through AAA. And that makes it really hard to justify spending an extra $1000 for POR when that money could be spent on souvenirs and nicer meals. Unfortunately, we have too many kids to fit in a value resort.

We are staying at POFQ April 26-May1 with a AAA rate. If codes come out we will still stay at POFQ and just save some $$$$. Then we will have more $$$$ to spend while we are there.

It depends on how much more to upgrade to deluxe. If the difference isn't so much, then I would love to stay at deluxe. I would probably try the AKL.
I love my queen size bed and that's what they have at deluxe.

I thought about upgrading to a deluxe. But I think saving the money would be better for how much time we will be spending in the room. Plus I'm looking forward to staying at POFQ. Plus the extra money will come in handy at Disney.

I'm not sure yet. It depends on how much it costs to repair or replace my broken digital camera. If it's a lot, we'll stay put at Pop Century; if it's not a lot, we might upgrade to POFQ.

We're thinking about upgrading to AKL to check it out. It all depends on how deep the discount. We're only staying in a Disney resort for the first two nights and then we're checking in (thanks to my parents) at the SOG.

We're all booked with BCV (points rented) and an AKL savannah view. 4 nights at AKL = over $1400! We're paid in full and hope to get an AP discount so we have extra money on our room so we can spend like crazy
Last year for our wedding we didn't have too much spending $$. It all went to paying for the fairytale wedding and GF stay...this time I want to splurge and buy the things we didn't last time!

debating saving the money if there's a code
or adding those 5 Pop nights to our 3nights at WL and having 8 WL nights before our 6 BCV nights
