if dinner is at 530 what time is too late to show up?

Barb,
Aren't our times 6:00p and 8:30p?
Do you know something I don"t know.....don't be keepin' secrets!

Im sorry, im sorry, im sorry
Im just going along with the early times but NO it is not in writing yet
Do you guys have early or late dining? What would you do IF ding is at 530? I read this past Sat that the ship was late leaving. Im gonna be the 1 making a mad dash to the dining room - lol

We have late dining.....we were on a waitlist for early but I canceled it. I have decided to go with late. Matt is a napper and I figured he could nap late in the afternoon 4 or so then we could go to the show and dinner. I do not want to be rushed getting ready for dinner. We eat at 7pm at home. I think I would rather have Matt be well rested for the shows. This way he sees the show, we go to dinner, and if 1/2 way thru he is done and wants to go to the club we can run him up, and the desert and coffee will be RELAXING. L;)

We eat early at home. I get out of work at 5 and Im ready to eat. I dont eat much during the day (I know the cruise will be different) so by dinner Im ready.
When I cruised 4 nights on NCL in Dec we went to dinner at 6ish then the show. Alot of the time I was falling asleep during the 730/8pm shows-lol. I enjoyed my time on the other end of the day - having coffee up on the top deck at 6am. Hopefully I'll make it through dinner & the shows on the Magic!!

Our time was 5:30 on 8/17. Called before we left and DCL said 6:00, when we got on board found out it was 5:30. We watched the ship sail away until 5:20, went to our cabin and got 2 kids, 7 and 8, dressed and arrived at dinner at 5:35. Our dinner companions were already waiting. I would not have wanted to show up any later. Our luggage was there before the lifebaoat drill and I got out clothes out so there were ready. If we smelled I would have told DCL not to have changed their times. They said it was because people were complaining, I'm sure it was the people who did not get early, I don't think anyone from main wanted the time changed to 5:30.

That's a good point! We are staying tuned to see if we need to switch to 'late' now. 6 was just a bit early, but we made it work.

I would think 5 minutes late is all I would want to risk - though I will aim at being on time too. There could be some unhappy cruisers there waiting if you are later than that!!!
:smooth:
