Can the KTTW cards be changed once we board? DH may not be with me when I checkin. Hes dropping us and then returning the Avis car.

All passengers must be present at check in with ID's and birth certificates. You can wait for him in the lobby and then check in when he returns.

Maybe that only applies to families. I don't know, but back in January I had a non-family roommate who checked in separately 30 minutes after I did, and it was no problem. Since of course we each had our own documents and individual KTTW cards with separate billing to our own credit cards, DCL did not care that we did not check in together.
