so i kinda have a little problem. I am kinda the most religious person in my house and my friends invited me to this party tomorrow/Good Friday night. I sort of feel guilty going out to party when were supposed to be in mourning. my mom says its not that big of a deal because im going to church that day. But still i feel guilty. Does anyone else think its a big deal? Thankss

My friend has the same problem only with a wedding. She asked one of the priests at our school and he said she could go but she still had to fast.

Maybe that would apply to you too?

I agree. You are obviously grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus made on behalf of us (that to me is what is most important) or you wouldn't be questioning going and you will be recognizing the significance of the day by going to church. Enjoy yourself.

I was raised that you did not party, watch TV etc. between the hours of 12 and 3, since those were the hours when Jesus was on the cross.

I think it's fine to go to the party, although it might be hard to fast once you are there! (no meat and no snacking between meals on Good Friday).
