At he airport in Fort Lauderdale, could you please contact me. We somehow came up a bag short when we got off the bus from the port to the airport in Ft. Lauderdale this morning. To be honest, it's possible that it didn't make the bus, they were grabbing the bags and putting us on the bus in not the best fashion. I've called DCL but undersably they've got their hand full and will check it out.

I know this is a long shot, but my cruise pictues were in that bag, the christmas photo's I had made as well as some clothing and Disney Pins. It was a black duffle type bag. I will gladly reimburse all cost to get my stuff.

I'm hoping it was a diser that is somehow ended up with.

UPDATE: DISNEY CRUISE LINE JUST CALLED ME. THEY HAVE THE BAG, IT WAS FOUND AT THE PORT, IT WAS NEVER PUT ON THE BUS AS NEAR AS I CAN TELL. IT IS BEING SHIPPED HOME. Seems my bag, just did not want to leave the ship LOL.

Thanks to all of you that send good thoughts!

MaryAnne,

Here's hoping DCL will find the bag quickly and get it back to you or that a DISer found it and will contact you soon.

For the rest of us - be sure to TAG THAT LUGGAGE with your name and address...even the stuff that you plan to carry on with you cause stuff happens.

Pixie Dust for your photos and bag.

Hey Mary Anne!

Well I would have fit at the beginning of the trip but by the end of 10 days of eating....... :)

Glad you found your bag, Mary Anne.:D

SOOOO glad that you are getting your pictures back!!! I know that I look at ours at least once a week & it brings back the warm fuzzy feeling when we were on the ship.

So happy for you, Mary Anne!

I think DCL is wonderful about returning items. After our first cruise in 2001, I very stupidly left one of my bags at the teminal. I simply never picked it up! What a goof! It was the bag that had ALL our souvies in it - every last one! I didn't realize it until a few hours later at the Tampa airport. I called DCL to report it, and when we arrived home that night we had a phone message waiting for us to let us know that they had the bag and would ship it first thing in the morning (at no charge to us, no less)!

I'm so glad you had similar luck. What a relief for you!

So glad you got your bag back. There was a family on the Bus to MCO with us that had no luggage when they got off the ship at customs. They said it was black... so who knows where it went to.
I have to post here about lost BERKIES...
I had those special for me after my foot/leg surgery and they were taken off the pool deck this past Saturday.
if anyone took them by mistake will you please notify me. They were blue with speckles on them.. I have the name of them too if you need them for verifcation. It would mean a lot to me since I really can't wear any other shoe,,, and they are expensive.
Thank you
Reenie

When we got off the ship we went and found our bags...one, two, three, four - missing the fifth. It was, of course, the same black roller suitcase everyone owns. Looking for it held us up for half an hour and we finally filed a lost luggage report and moved on without it.

Showed up in Terra Haute, Indiana. Delta called us and said it got left behind at the airport. We figure an earlier debarker grabbed it (although DCL only had record of four of five from our room - they were sure they'd lost it - they must have counted it against a room near ours) thinking it was theirs and didn't realize it wasn't until they got home.

Delta graciously put it on a plane to Minneapolis and drove it out to our house - even though we had flown Northwest. Though dealing with Delta was a pain - the luggage guys did it all by writing notes to one another and calling each other - Customer Service couldn't get it to me because I didn't fly Delta so I couldn't possibly have a bag on Delta.

My suitcase is now covered with fabric paint - you'd need to be blind to take it accidentally now. I don't think this would have made me get out the paint - but on a previous trip I'd gotten off the plane to discover someone taking my underwear out of my bag trying to determine if it was hers! (Yes, my bags have my name on them - on luggage tags - and my business card - and a piece of ribbon - maybe the fabric paint isn't enough!).

 I'm getting such a mental picture...."hmmm, honey these are some cutie undies....it MUST be my bag!!"

I can't believe someone would open the bag and paw through it!!!!

I saw a Good Clean Funnies joke about a man who put colored tape on his bag so it would be distinctive and then had to retrieve it from another man who was complaining to the baggage person that the airline had put tape all over HIS bag.

I'm not sure there's really a solution. Some folks pay NO attention to minor details like name tags or in the case of our black bags - red and white polka dot ribbon.

I think the next luggage I buy will be purple and pink paisley!:rotfl: :jumping1:

:earseek: Oh no!! kind of embarassing.. but really funny though! :rotfl:

Reminds me of the episode of the tv show Airplane when a lady had a complete fit because Southwest lost her bag. She was really mad at Southwest. The whole time she was venting to the SW employee, her bag was going round and round on the baggage belt directly behind her. The lady FORGOT what her bag looked like!
