The nerve of that waiter - mumbling under his breath all night about bad poetry.

He must have been low on hanname yesterday! Glad you 2 had a good time. Are youtelling us it's over already?? One dinner, a beadless walk on Bourbon Street and that's it? How can we live vicariously through you with such an innocent 1-time meeting?

No, I'm just not telling! Can I say that? Okay, I would like to clarify that what I mean is that Mar is a really cool person, and I hope that you all get a chance to meet her some day.

And yes, Rash, I will work on a bad poem worthy of honoring my new dear friend, idratherbeinwdw. Heading to the FL panhandle this weekend for my inlaw's 50th, so it may have to wait until next week. You can't rush bad poetry, and my censors must proof it first.

bwhahaha - tell me about it. We just bought in last year, decided to have one more baby and suddenly *BAM* it hits me that we are going to need WAY more points for 3 weeks or so of 2 bedroom accomidations. DUH!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmm.... I had my first ever mint julep at a cool place that looked over teh bridge on Lake Ponchatrain (sp?) in New Orleans. Had a had a few more, I may have enjoyed the trip! We were enroute to a family reunion in Leonville (not far from Lafayette) with the in-laws.

God, I love New Orleans - even in the heat!

Riding the streetcar, beignets, pralines, and my very favorite in the whole world - Muffelettas!! God I wish I were there right now.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Disney bought that Six Flags there (used to be Jazzland) and turned it into a Disney resort???? Oh, my God, would I be in heaven then?!?

Yeah, and while we're dreaming, Disney makes me the New Orleans DVC Resort Manager and I have unlimited points to give to all my friends, and the Saints win the Superbowl, and CarolMN gets a DVC Resort in MN , and... oh, there's the phone... back to reality....

I was on my porch on the lookout for the crazy bead-wearing duo and thought I saw some questionable activity going on around here. I could have sworn I even heard "hanname" but it might have been the dogs howling. Maybe not.

BTW, I make a mean Mint Julep (I even keep the mint infused Bourbon in my fridge!!).
