What do you do for 10 - 12 year olds so they can remember which resort and hotel room they're booked into in case they get lost or separated from their families? A plain piece of paper in their pocket seems lacking. Any suggestions anyone?

Masking tape and a Sharpie..... Write whatever info you need on the tape and then tape it to the inside bottom of their shirt -- like right on the hem. If they need the info for whatever reason, it is right there. They only have to flip up the teeniest bit of their t-shirt to see it. The info could also be taped to the inside of their shoe, but they the shoe has to come off to get at the info. Then you just take the tape off at the end of the day. Easy.

What about a rubber bracelet (seen them everything the past few years) with the sharpie info on the underside. It would just have to be flipped over on their wrist for the info. I think I might do this in July with DS12, DD13, and DNiece 21. But put our cellphone #s on it in case of emergency. Anything more noticeable I think would be embarrassing for my kids.

My dd's are 10 and 12 and they have my cell phone number memorized. I always carry my cellphone at WDW so they can just have a CM call me if we get separated. They haven't really needed it thankfully but its a nice backup. Prior to that I did just put a business card in their pocket with my informtion every day.

DS is 12 and has his resort ID and a cell phone. No worries!

When he was a bit younger (pre cell phone days) we wrote our names and cell phone numbers on a card and he kept it in his pocket.

Those are great ideas! Thank you. :thumbsup2 These are two of my grandkids who I doubt will remember my cell phone number, so the masking tape sounds like the answer to my problem.

Be sure that they know that for NO reason would they ever leave the park and try to go back to the resort on thier own. Reasure them that you would never leave the park if they were lost. Knowing your cell phone is VERY important. Sharpie idea is great. At that age we also had a Meeting place in case they got seperated from us. The trip DS was 11 we were there with my sisters family and her same age boys and we really were afaid we might loose one them. They really wanted to go off on thier own but we were not ready for that so they tended to ignore us a lot!!:rolleyes1 They were good at sticking together however so we gave one a cell phone and set up a meeting place in case they got seperated!! Never lost them however!
