Any ideas will be appreciated. We are planning a trip the end of Jan. I want to surprise my girls 7&10 with this as a Christmas present. I think part of it will be from Santa. I also plan on giving them Disney dollars (do they still do that?). Help! I also want to get them autograph books before we leave, maybe as christmas present too. We are flying and they have never flown before too!

How about on Xmas morning, before opening their gifts.. sit them down and watch the Disney planning dvd. Don't show the cover or anything at first.. they will wonder why they are watching it... and then when it clicks.... cover your ears ha! :santa: ha! then when they open their gifts they will know exactly what everything is for.... have fun planning your trip. :thumbsup2

We live in the northeast where it is cold and snowy in Winter. For one January trip that we took, Santa got our girls Disney themed bathing suits to use in the warm pools at WDW.

I am also giving family (adults mostly not kids) DisneyWorld as a Christmas present. My plan, order Mickey ears for each person and wrap them up in all different size and shape boxes. (Using Disney paper of course!!) At the bottom of each box will be a large "sign" that reads, "Now that you just opened your Chrismtas present what are you going to do?" Of course, the super bowl quotation may be lost on your girls, but that's my plan, so steal any part of it you may want! I hope you and your family have a great time!

On Lilian Vernon they make small pilot case luggage that can be personalized with the childs name (they are about $25 each) let the kids get up Chriistmas morning and find their bags packed under the tree, and a stuffed mickey or Minnie (or whatever character they like) holding the planning video. Or get one of the "Fairy God Mailers" to send your kids a Christmas card from Mickey inviting them to WDW! :thumbsup2

I am taking my dd to Disney for a surprise Christmas trip this year. She already knows that we are going to Florida because we went there last year to spend Christmas with family and she thinks we are doing the same.

In the car (you could put this under the tree as well though if your girls are into this kind of craft thing) I am going to give her an early present - a scrapbook - the first page is going to be pics of when she was younger with the different characters and the next page is going to tell her Surprise - you're going to WDW for Christmas - I ordered an 8x8 Disney scrapbook and a bunch of supplies from www.scrappindisney.com (they had/have? free shipping). I am going to give her extra supplies as another present so that when we get home she can scrapbook her trip. She is 13 but even when she was younger she liked together scrapbooks (she did one for a Hilary Duff concert she went to and she did great with it).

We surprised a friend of mine in the same way for a trip to NYC and she was excited and loved that she has the album to put the pictures in that she took.

I also have thought about getting her some trading pins and possibly an autograph book, although I am not sure if she will still be into getting autographs.

Hope this helps..

That is exactly what I would do too! Gift wrap it from SANTA and let them watch it but hold it for the last gift......they will love it.

I am doing that to surprise the 2 Nieces this Oct....not a Xmas gift but something to watch in the car on the ride up as we go on a surprise adventure.

Or you can purchase stuff from the Disney Store, from Santa, with a note that reads "To wear (or bring with you) on your trip".....

We were origanally supposed to be going to Disney in November 07, but I decided to go back to school for x-ray(meaning no Disney trip in Nov.)
My lovely Dh said we should go in March, over your break. What a lovely idea.
Anyway the kids know we are waiting to go back they just don't know when, so seeing how March is not that far from christmas, we will be surprising them.
I'm going to wrap them each up a box of Disney stuff, with Disney wrap.
I'm going to include Disney dollars, autograph books, pens, a Disney t-shirt or nightgown, and a countdown calendar.
