I am going to WDW for my 35th birthday. What are some things I can do to make the trip special? I will be going alone. I would love to stay at one of the nicer resorts, but cannot justify spending that much on a hotel room I am only sleeping in. So, what are some other things I can do, that are special. I have done some character meals, before.

One thing I would do to remember my 35th at WDW is to wear a customized shirt showing your 35th at WDW and find as many Disney Characters as you can to sign it. Carry several colored permanent water proof markers for them to sign with. You will not look silly so don't think even that. As well, you will have many years in the future to look back with delight at sharing your birthday with so many beloved disney friends. Have a happy birthday.

I just spent my 50th BD at WDW in January. I traveled w/ friends but you can still do alot while on your own. You can get a special birthday button at each of the parks at guest services right inside the gate. When you wear these buttons, CMs or other guests will often wish you a happy birthday. I'd also plan on going to a couple special restaurants to treat yourself. My favorites were L' Cellier in Canada in Epcot ( the burger there is one of the best I've ever eaten); Boma in the AKL is wonderful if you are a bit adventurous. It is an African buffet that goes on forever. We went thru the line and only took a small spoon of each item for a quick taste. If we liked it, we went back for more. The dessert buffet at Boma is unreal. Everything was tasty, but the zebra domes are to die for. On top of that, our waitress brought me a special dessert tray created by the chefs that had HB written out in chocolate and some of the African CM's signed a birthday card with where they were each from. It really made a very special birthday nite. Since you will be traveling alone, keep in mind that you will be able to use the single rider lines on those rides that offer that. You will be able to do whatever you want, when you want, as many times as you want. Disney is such a magical place that I don't see how you can't have a great time. Enjoy your birthday. Ed
